Rating: Comfortable and Great Fit

These boots are comfortable and easy to get on and off, but once on they are very secure and would not come off in heavy surf. Because of the strap and buckle on the dorsal surface of the boot I would not recommend these for diving and using with a fin. I am concerned with the relatively thin sole that with continued use on an abrasive surface they will wear through. I have only had them for a couple months and I use them 3-4 times a week and Im about to wear through the sole at the highest pressure points (big toe and ball of foot). I recommend these boots, but consider your activity.

Questions and Answers for Hyperflex by Henderson 2mm Amp Low Top Reef Surf Boots:
walker:
I was wondering which of these boots are waterproof and which are not.I have a toe injury and need a pair easy to slip on and waterproofed.
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
None of the scuba boots are waterproof. Wetsuits and wetsuit products such as boots, gloves and hoods are designed to let water in. The heat from your body heats the water, the neoprene insulates it keeping you warm. You will be wet using these products.

What is the difference between a surf boot and cold or warm water boots? I am new to scuba and looking into equipment.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Surf boots can have a pockets for the toes to enable more grip on a board surf. Thickness on any of the boots determines the temperature of the water they can be used in. Warm water boots are typically for tropical waters.
