Questions and Answers for Waterproof 5mm W2 Hooded Mens Shorty Wetsuit:

  • kevin:

I wear an xlrg Waterproof W2 full suit and want a W2 shorty to go over it. Should I get an xlrg or 2xlrg? Im 58" tall weigh 196 lbs, 35 inch waist 47 inch chest.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Kevin, what you are going to want to do is put your current suit on and take the waist and chest measurements. Those two sizes are the most important measurement when sizing a suit. Then take those measurements and see which size you fit into and that is the size you will need to order. More then likely you will going up one size. Hi. I want to buy Waterproof 5mm W2 Hooded Shorty Wetsuit. The web offering upgrade for Henderson Lycra hood. Does it means the 5mm hood will replaced for Lycra hood or added to existing? Im looking for the wariness. Please explain.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Alexander, no its just a lycra thin hood that comes with the suit to help slide the hood that is part of the shorty.

  • sarah:

Is it possible to use the suit separately from the hood?

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello, no the hood is attached. You can just pull the hood back but that does put more pressure on your neck.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Sarah, the hood is connected to the vest. If you don''''t want to wear the hood you can wear the hood down.
