As a newbie diver...I realized quickly that quarries are cold! Especially when you are becoming "folically challenged". This hood fits the bill. The size is dead on perfect. The construction seems sound. Happy so far.... only issue is no holes in top for air to escape. This is easily corrected but it would have been great if it was a design feature. All in all...a happy diver....with a warm protected cranium.

I got this to do an advance course when the water was in the ~60 degree range. I did a great job at keeping my head protected, actually needed to take it off a few time on the surface to cool off. I have a round face but this fit comfortably and tucked into my suite without any problems.

I dont really understand the 3mm part, but this is a great hood. and for the money its unbeatable. i am wearing it in bonaire and the water is pretty chilly. other hoods have all sorts of tech stuff to let the bubbles out. originally i was disappointed to see all they did was put a few holes to let the air out, but this is the first hood that actually worked and air does not accumulate like a cone-head. its brilliant!

Unfortunately, height and weight are the only measurements that the manufacturers give us. Typically you would use the same size you need in your wetsuit. So a large suit would use a large hood.
