Rating: Nice hoodie!!
Reviewer: Julie W., Monday, November 07, 2011 - View all my reviews
I tried this on - dry of course and was nervous it was too small...after being able to trim the face area and wear it for the first time in the water yesterday...I love it!! Kept me warm and it stretches some in the water. Youll feel like the neck opening is too small when trying it on for the first time...no worries itll fit!!

Rating: Keeping it warm
Reviewer: David F., Tuesday, July 05, 2011
I use this in Hawaii where the water temps are not as warm as the Caribbean and the 5mm works well combined with a full 3/5 wetsuit. Fit is good and manufacture is reasonably good. The buttons glued over the seam intersections are starting to peel off already (30+ dives) but that isnt something that Im terribly worried about. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Rating: Super Warm, Comfortable, love it
Reviewer: Jacqueline T., Friday, June 11, 2010 - View all my reviews
Pros: This 5/3 hooded vest under a 7mm allowed me to tolerate 60F water. For most people, that means you can tolerate 50F water. The vest does not allow water to circulate, and I have come out of the water with dry spots. Con: Its best to have a dive buddy help you take it off! If it fits right, it is tough to get the neck over your head. Not out of the ordinary.

Rating: Size Caution!
Reviewer: Scott Thomas, Saturday, January 16, 2010
Excellent quality of construction. Provided increased warmth when wearing a 3mm wetsuit and diving in 70 degree water. Be forewarned: Pinnacle wet suits, wet/dry suits and hooded vests run small. If your measurements fall at the high end of their size chart, get the next larger size up. Im at the high end for chest and waist, the middle for weight and the low end for height for a Pinnacle "small". I ordered a 7/5 wet/dry suit in small. I could barely fit into it and had even more trouble getting it off. The hooded vest is very tight, but manageable. I should have gotten a medium, but didnt realize at the time they run small. So, be careful when purchasing if youre at the high end of their sizing chart. Otherwise, excellent equipment.

Rating: the perfect extra bit of warmth
Reviewer: rebecca b., Thursday, June 04, 2009
i have a pinnacle 5mm merino wetsuit and i am a warm water diver still, i always get cold, especially after repetitive dives. the pinnacle hooded vest was perfect on my most recent trip to belize - the water may have been 80, but, i happily wore the vest for the 2nd / 3rd / 4th dives of the day and enjoyed my experience that much more for not having to trade thoughts of less bottom time for more warmth.

Could not beat the price when I bout it. It is the perfect addition to my 5mm wetsuit now that the water is cooling down.

Rating: Does the job.

I recently bought this hooded vest to take to the Florida Keys to dive in late November. I wore it under a 3mm full suit and it kept me warm in 69 degree water. The only time I got a little cool was when my friend and I stopped moving for extended periods to turn over rocks looking for shells to collect. If I kept moving, it worked great.

Rating: Pinnacle Merino Titanium Hooded Vest
Reviewer: Margaret H., Friday, October 31, 2008
I bought this hooded vest at the last minute for a trip to North Sulawesi. Scuba.com was able to get the vest to me within two days, which was great. It turned out I only needed to use the vest once during the trip, but it was great. Kept me toasty warm on the fifth dive of the day under my 3mm full suit and was very easy to get on and off, unlike my Henderson gold core that requires a team effort to remove.

Rating: Does what it should
Reviewer: Steve LoChiano, Friday, September 12, 2008
The reason for me getting this product was to dive in waters to cold for 3mm suit. I have used it several times and has kept me very warm. For me, I am as warm with a 3mm and this vest as I would be with a 7mm. The vest fits well. It covers everything that I wanted it to. The hood has some small holes in it for water flow. The I am not sure if there is any real titanium in it or not but it works for me. I would recommend it to others.
