Rating: Serious adjustability for various water temperatures!

When coupled with a two piece farmer john style wetsuit,the Pyrostretch zippered hooded vest allows me to adjust to different water temperatures. For cold water I wear all three pieces, along with 5mm gloves. For slightly warmer water, I wear the vest over the bibs without the jacket. When the water is even warmer I will wear only the bibs. I dive in rivers, where I dredge for gold. I am facing upstream most of the time. By buying a hooded vest one size larger than my wetsuit and wearing it over my suit, no water can be forced into my suit, which can be a real problem with traditional hoods. By keeping the core of my body warm, I can work longer with less fatigue. Less fatigue means clearer thinking thus less chance of making bad decisions. Safety first!

Although I did not keep the hooded vest because of a sizing issue, the material was well constructed and stretched as advertised! And the side zipper is a big bonus feature. The hood was comfortable and fit well around the face too. A great buy for those looking to stay warmer.

If your interested in a hooded vest that fits good and is easy to get on/off...then take a few minutes to look at this one. The sizing runs pretty true...although I ordered two to be sure. The return of the unused one went very well also.

Cant beat the value.....cheaper than other 6/4 hooded vests I looked at and very easy to take on off. The Pyrostretch makes it extra-comfortable. 2X fits a big guy (63", 255 lbs)....

can be difficult to get on and off however, very comfortable once you do. the vest has a great amount of stretch and no more trapped air in the hood thanks to the one way valve.

Bought the XX Large and its way Too Tight, unless youre a 90 pound weakling. Im a averag size guy and need a size XXX large? Strange and not worth the money.
