I bought this product on the advice of expert divers that told me it would make for a good sunblock and help to keep my body temp up. I only wore it in the evening, under overcast conditions, so the only thing I can say for sure is that it was excellent for keeping me warm. The only prob I had was with the beanies "interaction" with my mask. Didnt quite mesh. But it was a minor problem. Again, I cant beat the price ($12).

Very good item to have in cool to warm waters. Very light, well constructed, fit very well and chin strap does not cut into throat or chin. Did not interfere with mask. Keeps your head warm and comfortable.

The beanie fit fine, but I found that it allowed the water to stay in the ear area and that was annoying to me. I would rather deal with my hair floating freely in the water.

Ive tried many different items to tame my mane underwater but this is the only one that has worked! Its not bulky at all and doesnt interfer with my mask.
