As the reviews for this hood indicate, this is an excellent product. I was a little worried my head would be cold on a two-tank dive in 42 degree water, but it was not. The flow control option on the top of the hood worked very well, and I was surprised how comfortable and loose the hood was and still kept my head warm and comforable. A few caveats, though: 1 - Be sure to order the next size up if you are in doubt. 2 - The neoprene around the jaw area was annoying and covered my mouth. My dive partner had the same issue with the same hood. We cut the neoprene around the jaw area with scissors to our liking and it worked and made the hood much more comfortable.

I purchased the Henderson Gold Core drysuit hood as a replacement for a Bare drysuit hood. The Zipper on the Bare hood would come unzipped during the dive and my neck would get cold. I have used the Henderson Gold Core drysuit hood on a few dives and found it very easy to put on and take off. The neck portion is long enought to cover my entire neck. The hood keeps my head warm, even after multiple dives. I have been very pleased with the product and would recommend it to others.

I hate hoods that have a lot of material to tuck away under your wetsuit, that is why I chose this one. This one comes with just enough material to tuck it under the neck of your wetsuit. Another plus of the hood is that is has a vent hole to let any caught air bubbles out. The hood material stretches therefore the hood fits great.

I often dive fresh water here and Im a PSD. The bottom temps here are about 45f year round and the Henderson Gold Core Dry Suit Hood left me with not thinking about the temp on my head. Its also comfortable and doesnt give me the sore jaw my old hood did.

This hood keeps me warm and comfortable. It was easily trimmed to the size and shape of my head and a small hole punched as indicated allows air bubbles to escape. In addition, it protects my head from overhead hazzards.

Works great! Very flexible and easy to don. Even though the water averages around 47 degrees in my local diving area , my head stays warm the whole time. Its also easy to adjust your mask around facial opening.
