Rating: Chilly Snorkeler
Reviewer: Gail W.,
After wrestling on regular neoprene shorties at my local scuba store I liked the sound of the easier entry stretchy fabric and was not disappointed. I was cold snorkeling in Maui last March and got this for Belize. Easy to get on and off and kept me warm enough to snorkel as long as normal people in bathing suits! Went with a 9/10 because Im bigger on the bottom than top,a little roomy under the arms, but ok.

Questions and Answers for Aqua Lung Sport. 3mm Quantum Stretch Shorty Wetsuit:
Teresa:
In determining wetsuit size, is torso length taken into consideration vs. overall height?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
When sizing a wetsuit use your waist and chest/bust measurments first and most importantly. After that, height is a secondary measurement on the chart. You can generally discard the weight measurement altogether.
John:
would I get a 2XL or 3XL, 59" 235, 39" waist, 44-46 chest, muscular, have a gut.
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello John, going by the size you gave us I would put you into a 2XL not a 3XL. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
Laurie:
I am a 5 2" female, 111 lbs, short torso. In street clothes I am a 4. According to your size chart Id be a large! Bust 36, waist 29 1/2. Does that seem right to you?

One thing to keep in mind when looking at wetsuit sizing is that the manufacturers and designers of wetsuits are not fashion designers and have no experience in that field. They could just as easily named the sizing of each suit red, green, blue, yellow, etc. as gave them sm, md, lg sizing names. There is no comparison to a fashion sizing. That said, the 2 most important measurements when sizing a wetsuit will always be your waist and your chest/bust measurements. After that height is a secondary measurement as the mfg. knows that in a full suit boots and gloves can overlap the ends, and in a shorty suit it doesn't matter. Your weight plays very little in the sizing of a wetsuit other than to possibly tip the scales one way or another if you are on the border between 2 choices. Given your dimensions for the suit asked about, yes, I'd put you into the Ladies Large.
