Rating: Comfortable!
Reviewer: Susan D.
I wanted a front zip wetsuit and this one is perfect! Its comfortable...no choking sensation from a tight neck, easy to put on and take off, keeps me warm during the dive but not too warm on the boat. I wish I would have ordered a smaller size, but that is my only regret. Just got back from Grand Cayman and used it on every dive. I would highly recommend it!

Im 6 foot tall and always rented wet suits but thought it was time for my own. This was perfect fr my long torso. I personally like longer sleeves to keep my arms from getting ct up or stung.

Clarke  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Please follow this link to our down loadable RMA form. http://www.scuba.com/rma.asp If you have other questions, need help or would like to place an order, please contact SCUBA.com by calling 800-247-2822 <> 949-221-9300 or e-mail us at: info@scuba.com

  • John:

Im 58" (short legs - 29" inseam) and 185# what size do you recommend? Reading the reviews a couple divers receommended next size smaller? Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks. John

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The waist and chest are the most important measurements for the fit with a wetsuit. Height usually will work even if it is one to two inches short or tall. Weight will depend on the divers body build and is the last measurement to consider. As long as the item is not used in the water you have up to 60 days to refund or exchange it.

  • Kim:

Hi, I bought a size 10 womens suit and it is to short up and down in the body but fits perfect everywhere else. What would be a comparable mens size for me to order just to get more length?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Kim, if you are looking to replace this with a mens version you would need to order the size men''s medium. That will give you an extra 2" in the length of the suit.

  • darrell:

if i am between a large and extra large based on chest and waistwhat would you recommend? large or x-large? do these run bigger or smaller? thank you very much.

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The jackets tend to run large because they typically are used over the bottom half of a 2 piece suit. As long as the item is not used in the water you have up to 60 days to refund or exchange it.

  • Jim:

Is this item in stock in an XL size?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Please email info@scuba.com or contact us at 800-347-2822 for current stock.

  • Linda:

Is this a long sleeved shorty? The title of "jacket" is confusing. Do you get what is shown in the picture? Or is this a ONLY a jacket that comes to the waist?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Linda, yes this item is a long sleeve shorty that zips up the front.

  • bob:

it says jacket but picture looks like a shorty. Which is it?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The jacket is the top half of a 2 piece wetsuit. Many manufacturers offer them individually in the event a person needs one size top and another size bottom. The Jacket is typically, but not always, short legs with long sleeves. It is cut in a manor that takes into account that it is designed to go over another layer of neoprene in the bottom or farmer john/jane.

  • Jose:

I currently wear a Neosport farmer john and would like to buy a 3mm Thermoprene wetsuit jacket. My question is when taking chest and waist measurements should I wear my farmer john or measure bare chest. Jose

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jose, Yes if you are wearing something under this item you will want to measure your chest and waist with this item on so you get the correct measurements.

  • Greg:

My wife and I are looking for something to wear over our 3/2 wet suits (long sleeve and full over the legs) would this be a good option? Would this be hard to pull over the long sleeves of our current wet suit?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Yes, it would be very difficult and uncomfortable to pull on over another wetsuit with long sleeves. A core warmer or neoprene vest would be your best option.

  • CAROLYN:

Where is the sizing info? I where an XL in the LLBean would that be comparable. Can I get the shorty with short sleeve?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Sizing info for each product is located below the description for each product. For info on comparisons or alternate products please contact our instructors at info@scuba.com

  • Frank:

I weigh 175 pounds and I am 6 ft. tall. My waist is 36-38. What size Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Step in jacket Wetsuit do you recommend for me. thanks.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Frank, when you are sizing a wet suit or dive skin. The two most important measurements are going to be your chest/bust and waist. Height is a secondary measurement and weight is the last measurement you take into account.

  • John:

Hello, I writing for my husband John. He is 100% disabled. He can walk a little and swim. His therapist wants to work with him at the YMCA pool inside, due to all the back surgries it is to much on land. He doesnt want to go cause the water is too cold around 75. Is the a suit you can recommend. Short top (vest) and short bottoms. They have to be easy to get on and off. Also he is 63 and weighs anywhere between 290 and 315. He usally wears 2x bottoms and 2 to 3x tops depending on cuts. Is alittle bigger better. Thank You, His wife Ethel

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

In those water temperatures a 3mm suit is very common for water work outs. Unfortunately none of them are very easy to get on. A 3mm Vest may work well for the upper body, but there are no functional shorts to match up with it that will provide much warmth. The reasoning for this is the water trapping required to maintain the warmth. The body creates the heat, the suit material acts as an insulator. The water is the conductor of the heat. If the water isn't trapped, and continuously flushes through, it won't remain warm. Probably one of the better suits for his uses would be the Aqua Lung Sport 3mm Quantum Stretch Shorty Wetsuit http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-258/147643/Aqua-Lung-Sport.-3mm-Quantum-Stretch-Shorty-Wetsuit.html The suit is made from an extremely flexible and elastic blend of neoprene that is comfortable when working out. It is a back zip suit that is about as easy to get on and off as we have to offer.

  • Dan:

I am looking for a long sleeve shorty wet suit. I am 58" with a 32 in waist 72" wingspan (fingertip to fingertip) and weigh 170lb. What suits would be suitable for scuba?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Dan, when you are sizing a wetsuit or dive skin. The two most important measurements are going to be your chest/bust and waist. Height is a secondary measurement and weight is the last measurement you take into account.
