  • Hector:

Is this float suitable for blue water hunting? A float is usually attached to the speargun to aid when hunting bigger fish so that the gun is not lost when the fish takes of. I wOnder if the float is strong enough? Also, does the 60ft line float? Thanks!

Clarke  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

  • leo:

will this torpedo be usefull for safety,or I will need a second device? Thanks.

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Torpedo Buoys are designed to be a trailing buoy only for spearfishing. They are not recommended as safety floats.

  • Luke:

Yeah that didnt work, any other suggestions?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Luke, with the inflate cap you have to squeeze the cap so it will let the air out. The cap is a one-way valve that you have to pinch to open the valve so the air can flow out.

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello, I'm not seeing the previous conversation. What didn't work?

  • Luke:

How do you deflate the float?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

It is a capped, squeeze oral inflation/deflation stem.
