The title says it. This was one of several items for which Scuba.com was out of stock and backordered so long they cancelled the item from my order. At least for this item, Scuba.com let me know it was delayed. Some other items were delayed, so my whole order was delayed without any communication, even though I paid extra for "3-day delivery". I guess that means 3 days after they finally get around to assembling the order and seeing if some items will come back into stock. The Mares slate is probably just fine, but it seems peculiar to be prompted by Scuba.com email to write a review for products they cancelled from my order for being out of stock and backordered. Very unpleased with Scuba.com on delaying shipment without notice, essentially wasting the extra shipping I paid for expedited delivery.

My first slate and I couldnt have made a better choice. Perfect design and user friendly. I research things to the extreme even if it is a simple item and this slate is perfoms as described. Trust this purchase.

what can i say it is a slate nothing fancy but works well. the size is large and space to make notes for future reference good by but still a slate.

Used on a night dive to remember coordinates.Good visually and there was no wash out. Cleaned up fairly well.Of course, you really should use a retractor with it to get best result.

I used this slate on a recent dive trip to BVI. The dive master actually used it more than me to communicate with us. Very easy to attach and carry with you. Very handy. The only draw back seems to be in the erasing what you wrote dept. It does not come clean easily. Very worth the minimum amount of money it cost.
