Rating: 5 page wrist slate
Reviewer: JOHN ODonnell, Wednesday, February 18, 2009 - View all my reviews
The wrist slate allows you to log several things on multiple pages. You can easily communicate with your dive buddy throughout the dive with the 5 pages available for you to write down information. Absolutely satisfied with this product.

Rating: Divers Slate

This slate is working quite well, thank you. Up to when I purchased and received the slate, I used a clipboard with underwater paper. While the slate does not take lead pencil writing as well as the paper, it makes up for it with convenience and its low profile. Despite the advertisement, the attached pencil cannot be easily switched to accomodate left handers (I am one). Also, the wood/lead pencil swells upon submersion making it difficult if not impossible to remove from the holder. I had to add another pencil.

Rating: Not your normal slade
Reviewer: Scott J., Monday, November 03, 2008 - View all my reviews
Multiple pages and stays out of your way on your forearm. Some people will still rather have a larger slade, especially for instructions, but it is perfect for my needs (short quick messages when hand signals just wont do).

Rating: Excellent Communications Tool
Reviewer: Andy Lai, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 - View all my reviews
Offers the writing area of a full sized slate with the compactness to be out of the way until you need it. The ablility to use either the velcro or stretch cord to hold it on allows for plenty of adjustment for comfort. Pencil holder keeps the pencil better than standard push in clips, and seems to hold the pencil together better.

Rating: What an innovative product!
Reviewer: Craig W., Sunday, July 06, 2008 - View all my reviews
I needed a good dive slate, but this one is really ingenious. With pages that flip you can pre-write a number of messages (especially handy with students) and then flip from one to the next with ease. Was really impressed with the simple but durable design. Great idea!

Rating: Ok Slate
Reviewer: John Johnston, Tuesday, July 24, 2007 - View all my reviews
this slate writes farly well and cleans easily. the pencil holder works well as long as the pencil is not pushed too far into it. i have two complaints: 1) the band is too big i cant tighten it enough to kep the slate from getting loose and turning. 2) the "rubber bands" that hold the plates/pages coudl be stronger strong water movement has a tendency to open the slate.

Rating: Easy Communication Underwater

Forgot a hand signal? Something more to say? Dont forget your Five Page Wrist Dive Slate. A great help in communicating to fellow divers. When you fill a page, just flip it to the next! This is a great product.

Rating: A slate that doesnt trail...
Reviewer: Stephen G., Saturday, May 19, 2007 - View all my reviews
Whenever I use a dive slate it usually ends up (at least for part of the dive) being towed behind me on its lanyard. This wrist slate seems to give me the writing area of my traditional one in a hard-to-misplace package.

Rating: wrist slate
Reviewer: Jeffrey M., Friday, April 27, 2007
This wrist slate is easy to read, comfortable to wear and works great even with gloves on. Using it takes one more item off of your BCD and on your wrist it cant get tangled with anything else. Comes with an extra pencil and bands.

Rating: Nice idea . . . poor execution.
Reviewer: fun n., Sunday, April 15, 2007 - View all my reviews
Excited to show it off to my dive buddies whos forever immortalized with a picture of his dive slate floating in the deep, unbeknownst to him. Cons: 1) For large forearms, not designed to be worn before strapping on the BC, unless you have detachable buckles on your shoulder harness. 2) Hard to write on a curved surface. Itd almost be better if it was flat with concave feet to fit your forearm. 3) Poor retention strap: The elastic velcro strap is way too flimsy to hold fast to your arm. The smooth back allows it to spin around your arm easily. I had to glue a thin foam pad to the back to help it stay in place. Now I still need to beef up the strap. 4) Weak o-rings: The pages keep flipping open when you move your arm in water, or when trying to don your BC with it strapped on. All in all, has promise, but needs a lot of customization.
