I can only give a partial review of this item as I have not yet had the opportunity to use it. It did arrive quickly and as described and includes extra page holders in case one breaks. I hope to use this slate during my up coming dive master class in February.

Rating: Arm Slate

I bought this item for my Son who is a cable installer. He stopped at our house one day on his lunch break. It had been raining and his pants were soaked. While he ate lunch, we dried his clothes. He had written information on his hand with a permanent marker to remember some figures need for work. He said this was the only way he could do it in the rain, because paper and pen were useless given the conditions. We decided to find a solution and came up with your arm slate. When I was young I took scuba lessons, but never followed through because of the expense and the region where I reside. I do some snorkeling in Hawaii and my wife now likes to snorkel even though she does not swim. Thanks for your solution. John Robinson

I do like the idea of the slate, I just need to find a better pencil. It works but with the harder lead it makes a faint line. I want to try a softer lead pencil to see if it can be read easier. I do like that it comes with o-rings, I somehow knocked one off or caught it on something and was thankful for having more. I might have to play miniture golf...

This is a good product, the prewritten slates are handy too... they also can move out of the way so you dont lose writing space. It tended to slide around on my arm, which isnt the end of the world... I just kept pushing it back up. If you wear it on an arm with a watch, then it should stay put. Really handy spot to put your dive plan or navigation hints.

I just completed an advanced wreck diving course. The skills taught included how to surevy a wreck before attempting to penetrate. This useful tool is just what I need. The overlaping pages allows you to draw different levels or sections of the wreck and note points of entry and/or hazards. Anyone interested in wreck divning should purchase a dive slate and this is one of the better ones Ive used.

The wrist slate allows you to log several things on multiple pages. You can easily communicate with your dive buddy throughout the dive with the 5 pages available for you to write down information. Absolutely satisfied with this product.

This slate is working quite well, thank you. Up to when I purchased and received the slate, I used a clipboard with underwater paper. While the slate does not take lead pencil writing as well as the paper, it makes up for it with convenience and its low profile. Despite the advertisement, the attached pencil cannot be easily switched to accomodate left handers (I am one). Also, the wood/lead pencil swells upon submersion making it difficult if not impossible to remove from the holder. I had to add another pencil.
