I havent worn them down to the water yet...but that is exactly why I bought them...to wear on the boat and on the shoreline...they are very high quality and seem waterproof....so Im certainly recomending them to fellow divers....

Rating: A great shoe for sand or land

i use the term "shoe" on purpose. the tanza cradles and supports your foot like a great shoe, while it gives you the freedom of a sandal. the quick-release velcro straps let you quickly shed them and put them on, and they give you a custom-made feel because you can adjust them precisely to your foot width. i broke mine in on st. simons island, ga, and now they are my everyday shoe back home in houston. i only take them off to attend meetings with my clients. and to go to bed the wife says thats a deal-breaker.
