I am looking for a piere of free dive fins to help me to get to the bottom sooner while spearing rock fish in northern California. My normal shoe size is between 9 or 9.5. my questions are: 1. What size the above fin I should wear AFTER I have a piere of 7 mm Polyolefin Socks? 2. Do you sell any straps? If so, can you recommendate some? Thanks, Mike
I have finally trashed my old ScubaPro fins in the Bahamas. Rest their soul. I now need to find some good bootie fins that do not break the bank. I am 59 and just dive to about 15 feet or so to get crawfish and spear reef fish. What do you suggest considering I used my last set of fins for 38 years...
Hello Steve, the fins you have questions on are a full foot fin not designed to wear with boots. If you are looking for a good fin that will not break the bank then take a look at the Oceanic Vortex V-12 Dive Fins web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-20/014610/Oceanic-Vortex-V-12-Dive-Fins.html.
I just received my fins by Mares that I bought off your site Iam a 10 in shoes and got the 10-11 fin size they have some room in the heel was just wondering if this is normal ?
Hello, this is simi normal. It sounds like your a little between sizes. Check out some neoprene socks this will tighten up the fin. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-112/001129/XS-Scuba-2mm-Low-Top-Titanium-Dive-Socks.html
I just asked about the fin being a little roomy in the heel when I stand with the fin on its easy for my foot to come out . Will going down a size work or will that be to small? I have the 10- 11 thinking about going down one size also would I be able to go to your place in Irvine since I live in Long beach to replace them ?
Yes, of course! Our retail hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6p. We look forward to seeing you.
