Rating: Full foot fins
Reviewer: HAZEL S.
I Love them, have used several different ones, but these stay on and I move so much more easily. I had knee replacement last Dec and have difficulties moving it at times and with these fins, have no difficulties moving along. Hazel Mayville

Rating: great for the price
Reviewer: Calif T.
So far I have only used this fin for snorkeling. It provides very smooth, adequate power with less work than my larger scuba fins. Maneuvering is fine. The foot is comfortable. The price is good. I would have given them a 5 except they do not come in enough sizes. I need to wear socks to get a snug fit.

Questions and Answers for TUSA FF-19 X-Pert Evolution Full Foot Fins:

  • jeff:

I wear an 11 1/2 shoe and have a medium width foot. What size of these fins should I order?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jeff, since you are in-between sizes I would suggest a different fin. The Fin that would work well for you would be the Oceanic Vortex V-6 Full Foot Dive Fins web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-21/013341/Oceanic-Vortex-V-6-Full-Foot-Fins.html. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • Dean:

I have used yellow blade cressi garas for snorkeling/spearfishing for over 30 years. Took meticulous care of them. The rubber foot pocket is starting to crack. I am thinking about this as a replacement fin. I wear ONeil sock booties. I think 3mm. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe and am wondering what fin size to buy to accommodate my foot and the booty.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Dean, these are very good fins for snorkeling. As for the correct size you are going to need the mens size 8-9 men. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • xin:

my feet is 25cm and wear 3mm socks。i would like to know which size is suit for me. thx!

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The sizes we show for the fins are based on US sizing. If you use a 3mm sock typically you would go up 2 sizes in order for the fin to fit.

  • sean:

i dive with an oceanic boot 13 bith adjustable straps split fins. i dive mostly cayman warm waters. imooking for a split fin full foot to eliminate the boots and one more piece of equipment. my shoe sze ranges between 12-12 eee any suggestions?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Order according to your shoe size, if you are in between sizes go up to the next closest size. As long as the item is not used in the water you have up to 60 days to refund or exchange it.

  • asa:

I wear 6.5 shoe and have a medium width foot. What size of these fins should I order if I wear diving boots at the same time?Is there any recommendation for the boots?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Asa, if you wear boots with this fin you will need to order 2 sizes higher to take the boots. Full foot fins are not designed to wear with boots. If you wear booties then I would suggest adjustable fins.

Just got thru w/a week at Ocho Rios, the diving was great! I rented my gear there & used my first set of a full foot fins in an X-LG. My shoe size is 13-14 EE. What fins would your recommend for a guy with wide feet? The closed foot type or the buckle\strap model that uses a bootie?

Hello Ethan, you are going to go up one size to adjust for the wide in your feet.

  • kermit:

im looking at getting some fins, im into free diving and these are going to be my first. so are the TUSA FF-19 X-Pert Evolution Full Foot Dive Fins good for free diving? if not what can you recommend at the cheapest price for cold water?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

These will not work very well for free diving in cold water. A adjustable strap fin and boots would be better. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-20/014002/Mares-Plana-Avanti-X3--Dive-Fins.html

FF-19 - TUSA FF 19 X-Pert Evolution Full Foot Fins

The FF-19 X-Pert Evolution full foot fins combine Propeller-fin technology, TUSA’s multi-flex blade system and patented Angled Blade Design.

The FF-19 provides more speed and power with less effort and fatigue than traditional paddle blade full-foot fins. The FF-19 is a thin, lightweight design ideal for snorkeling and travel, yet it generates maximum performance and comfort with minimum strain on the leg muscles when using a small bent-knee kick with a light rhythm.

FEATURES
> Innovative hydrofoil design and hybrid rib produce greater forward motion (lift) both on the surface and under the water

> 20° Angled Blade Design for maximum efficiency and propulsion

> Propeller-fin technology and super lightweight design achieve the ultimate performance with less effort

> Open-toe full foot pocket provides superb comfort and support

> Color: Black (Metallic Silver/Black), Blue (Blue/Black)

> Sizes: XS, S, M, ML, L, XL

TECHNOLOGY

Propeller Technology
TUSA’s advanced split fins employ Propeller-FinTM Technology, which delivers ultra-high performance with a low amplitude rapid flutter kick. As the fin moves through the water its two wing-shaped surfaces create lift and forward propulsion like a propeller. Any water traveling over the top of the blade is funneled into and out of the split between the blades. Efficiency is increased while drag and effort is reduced.

Angled Blade Design (A.B.D.)
A standard flat fin inhibits propulsion solely by fault of design. An angle between the heel of the foot and the calf of the leg remains when the leg is extended to kick. This angle causes approximately 10% of the propulsion to be lost. The Angled Blade Design accommodates for this anatomical characteristic and ensures maximum efficiency throughout the kicking cycle.
