Rating: No pain low cramp hi power snorkeling flippers
Reviewer: Julia Johnson, Saturday, May 26, 2007 - View all my reviews
I snorkeled in Maui with these off shore and off boats. The first day I had mild cramping in my foot and no cramps in my calf. The next snorkeling days were uneventful - no pain and no cramps. This is in contrast to my previous ordinary fins that always caused cramps particularly in one of my feet. Propulsion is superior to ordinary fins - I have no doubt in my mind. On a visit to Turtle Town I had to flipper against a current and found it tough going. I had a snorkeling air vest, so turned over on my back and flippered backwards and just motored along effortlessly against the current. Excellent design. I watched the flipper action in the water, it is rigid on the power stroke and the middle slightly folds on the down stroke allowing lower resistance - however still providing power. The slipper part was very soft, no need for flipper socks at all. Get these fins for whatever snorkeling you do. Superior in comfort, power and weight. Super deal - the dive crew on the boats were all agog. Wake up Hawaii!

Rating: TUSA Xpert Full Foot Split Fins
Reviewer: Ian M., Thursday, June 05, 2008
The preformance of the TUSA Xpert Full Foot Split Fins met and exceeped by expectations in my recent visit to Rangiroa.
I had purchased thin lycra fin socks just in case I developed blisters with extended wear of the fins, but I did not need them. The foot pockets of these fins are quite supple and comfortable and probally with a decent fit would never cause blisters.
The TUSA Xpert Full Foot Split Fins fit great.
Fit-tip: Since they are made in Italy they seem to be sized accordingly - so be certain to know and buy your foot as sized in Europe. US sizes equilvalents are not exact matches to their European counterpart.
Bottom-line: TUSA Xpert Full Foot Split Fins perfect for tropical water snorkling.

Rating: Great all round fins!
Reviewer: Lyle Beavers, Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Bought 4 pair of this fins in various sizes for our family dive trip to Cozumel based on good reviews. Happy to report they were true. First I was able to get all the fins, masks, snorkels and skins into one bag which I could have carried on the plane. They worked well snorkeling and are very comfortable. I did get socks for the kids, but I didnt need them. Did 6 dives and found that they worked well in tight places and against the standard current. Only once against a formidable current (we drifted a least 2 miles in 45 mins.) did I wish I had my jet fins. Very happy with this purchase!

Rating: Tusa vs Atomic open (split)
Reviewer: patrick weberg, Wednesday, February 14, 2007
This Full is equal or better than the Atomic Open due to weight and Ease of control. Dont let anyone tell you a full foot is for rookies or once a year neos, this fin keeps up with all the big 200+ boys while fatigue is held at bay. ( I own the Atomic Splits as well). I have a 10.5 foot and can get into these (L) w/a 2mm bootie and be right the whole day. Dont let instructors or anyone else convince you fulls are dead. If your a warm water diver ck. em out.

Rating: Great Fin Bargain
Reviewer: Charles B., Tuesday, May 01, 2007 - View all my reviews
Comfortable, lightweight, easily packed and still a good price. These made great snorkel fins in the warm water, with plenty of strength, good speed from a short kick and good hovering motion. Used them with scuba and while a bit softer than my usual pair, they were totally functional despite my large size. Great all around fins for a light trip.

Rating: Comfort and Performance
Reviewer: John B., Saturday, August 09, 2008 - View all my reviews
If youre a 12EEE or a 13E, you know how hard it is to find both comfort and performance in moderately priced full foot fin. Look no further! On a recent dive/snorkel trip to Abaco, these proved their worth on the surface and at 100. Plus, theyre lighter than boot/fin combos in the same size which is a consideration for air travel.

Bought two pair of these fins for a diving trip to the Philippines by my daughter and I. Ive been diving and snorkeling for over 25 years and used a variety of fins. These fins are the best snorkeling fins Ive ever used. They produce a good stroke with less effort and they are fairly lightweight. I highly recommend these fins!

Rating: Great Fins at a good price

I have used the open heel xpert-zooms for about4 years now. Pretty much since they first came out. When I was going on a trip to Mexico, I decided to try the full foot version to cut down on gear.
They pretty much give the same performance. Comfortable foot pockets didnt hurt my feet and gave me a great dive experience.

Rating: Good Fin for Snorkeling or Swimming
Reviewer: Larry P., Thursday, September 18, 2008
These fins work well for snorkeling or swimming. The size was very good as well. I wear a 12 athletic shoe and the XL size fit perfectly. They were shipped promptly when ordered, and arrive exactly on time per the transit time estimated when I placed the order. Good value for the money in a snorkel fin.

I bought a large pair for myself and a small pair for my girlfriend. They seem to be fine so far, although our instructor told me I will have to buy a different pair for her because she cant swim fast enough in them. I suppose theyre better for snorkeling only, but the price is unbeatable.

Rating: great underwater hockey fin
Reviewer: anatoly yakovenko, Monday, September 18, 2006
I find that these fins are as fast if not faster then the quattros. These fins are designed for a high cadence kick, so they do not wear you out as much, and use less oxygen. I also find that these fins are much easier to turn in, since they are so small and light.

I have a dozen pair of fins for various warm and cold water conditions, and just did 60 + dives with these fins in Malaysia. They were powerful, manuervable, comfortable, easy to don and doff, and light. They are simply my top warm water travel fin!

Rating: Perfect for Snorkeling

These fins are great for snorkeling and really good for diving. On my last trip I used them about 5 times snorkeling and on 3 "blue water" dives up to 80 ft. They were great, didnt cause fatigue and allowed for good propulsion.

Was pleased with my full foot fins. Im merely a snorkeler, but these fins gave me much better control and speed over my old full foots. Cant beat the price either (I got em for $30).

Great bargain for snorkeling fins that have the strength to act as backups for diving. Easy on the legs, yet plenty of strength for strong currents. Comfortable foot pockets too.

These fins are wonderful. I have a foot problem and it is much easier to propel with these split fins. They help the fatigue factor on the legs. They fit perfect for me as is.

Great fin for the price. Easy to pack, works well in the water, and doesnt distort too bad on the deck of a kayak in the hot Baja sun.
