Hello, Im wondering if there is a mistake in the buoyancy specs for this Al80 tank. It shows a weight of -1.4lbs for a full tank and a weight of -3.4lbs for an empty tank. Should that read just the opposite? Also, is it possible to substitute a DIN valve for the yoke valve? Paying the difference is not a problem. Thanks!
Hey, I am contemplating purchasing tanks off you guys online, however are the tanks and valves fully serviced, hydrotested and ready to go diving with when you get them in the mail? Regards
We are a retail dive store just like any retail dive shop near you. The tanks come directly from the manufacturer just like any other local store and will be in the identical condition your local retailer purchases them in. The valve will not be in place. It's against DOT/CTC regulations to ship the cylinder with the valve in place. It will have the plastic shipping cap from the manufacturer in place. Do not valve the tank. If you take it to get filled with the valve in place and no air in the tank, the local dive store can and usually will charge you for a VIP. Let the store doing your first fill put the valve in for the first time.
