Questions and Answers for Sherwood 100 Cubic Foot Aluminum Tank..:
Hyonny:
Hi,
I just need the tank w/out the valve (this is not for diving use, but for use as a high pressure reservoir).
Would you be able to sell me this tank w/out the valve? If so, could you give me a quote for that?
Thanks,
Hyonny Kim

:
Tanks come complete from the manufacturers with the valve included but are available without. You'd need to contact one of our instructors at 800-34SCUBA or info@scuba.com to arrange for that.
chris:
are these tanks nitrox ready?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Unless the description states "nitrox ready to 40%" the tank is for air only and NOT Nitrox Ready.
Donnie:
What is the advantages of a 100 cfm over an 80,or does it really matter
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Donnie, the difference is 20cf more air in a 100 vs an 80. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
TANKS & VALVES: Sherwood Valve
PRODUCT FEATURES The most used valve in diving. The critical link between your regulator and tank, our patented Sherwood valve was designed specifically to handle today’s high-performance regulators.
Aluminum Tanks Aluminum tanks are cost efficient, long lasting, and readily available, which is why they are easily the most common scuba diving tanks in the world. Lighter than steel tanks, aluminum dive tanks are easier to transport and swim with, giving your shoulders and arms a break on long treks.
Because of their light weight, some aluminum tanks will begin to float at the end of a dive, once the oxygen supply is nearly depleted. To combat this, it's common to counter-weight an aluminum dive tank with approximately 4 pounds. However, 'Compact Neutral' aluminum tanks are made with thicker walls, which increase the weight and help to counteract the positive buoyancy problems at the end of a long dive.
