Hello Scott, since this would be an international order you would need to add all of the items you would like to buy. Once those items are in your cart you are going to hit the checkout button using Amazon checkout. Once on the Amazon checkout page enter all of your billing and shipping information. “Be advised these costs do not reflect any additional Duty or Tax imposed by your country due to importation of the equipment. What is the difference between the Harrison and Sherwood 80 cubic foot tanks if they are both made by Catalina is either one Nitrox ready?
I bought 2 tanks and they cam with pro valves shipped loose. What is the torque to install these valves and does any thing need to be put on the threads?
Hi just wondering can you ship internationally to australia? also on the website with all the tanks it says that valves are included but when you go to checkout valves are charged extra?
Since this tank is made by Catalina, I assume the major price difference is in the valve (as compared to Sherwood). What is your opinion of the Harrison valve which I have heard is made in China?
I bought a tank around 7years ago and when I went to have it filled the store that I took it to said that they would not fill it with out doing a V.I.P. and a Hydro on it and they said that the tank was very bad and corroded inside the tank. I will am needing a new Hydro and a V.I.P. before I can get it refilled again and if it is bad inside I will be getting another one is there a reason for this
I know that the Hydro is only good for 5 years but when I bought the tank 7 years ago I had it filled shortly after I got the tank like about a month after I had received it and the shop still wouldnt fill the tank without doing a hydro and V.I.P. I have had the tank filled several times since then and they have done a V.I.P. 5 times and the last one that was done the shop said I would probably have to replace my tank, Shouldnt I get more than 7 years out of an aluminum tank?
Aluminum tanks are cost efficient, long lasting, and readily available, which is why they are easily the most common scuba diving tanks in the world. Lighter than steel tanks, aluminum dive tanks are easier to transport and swim with, giving your shoulders and arms a break on long treks.
Because of their light weight, some aluminum tanks will begin to float at the end of a dive, once the oxygen supply is nearly depleted. To combat this, it's common to counter-weight an aluminum dive tank with approximately 4 pounds. However, 'Compact Neutral' aluminum tanks are made with thicker walls, which increase the weight and help to counteract the positive buoyancy problems at the end of a long dive.
