I am going free diving, lobstering and snorkeling soon. I am a size 11 1/2. What size would be good to buy wearing a 2mm boot? I dont want the fin to feel loose.
Hi I asked a question before but I guess it was misunderstood. I am going free diving lobstering and snorkeling, and I wear a size 11.5 shoe. What size fin of the TUSA Solla Adjustable Strap Fins should I get? I know they run too big. Or would you recommend a closed foot fin instead of the straps??
Hello Michael, if you are looking at adjustable fins strap fins you would need to wear boots with the strap to help protect your heel. If you are looking to wear the fins with your bare foot then yes the full foot fins would be a better choice fin. As for sizing the fins either adjustable fins or full foot fins you want to order the size range that your feet fit. In the TUSa Solla adj fins if you are a size 11.5 then you would need to order the size 11+.
I am look for a GOOD pair of fins for my 10 year old son. He is getting his scuba certification and is a youth size 2. What about the TUSA Solla Adjustable
My sons shoe size is 10. Your Solla adjustable strap fins for shoe size 7 - 10 are MEDIUM ... your LARGE is for shoe size 10-14. Since he is on the border, shoud he get MEDIUM or LARGE?
Im interested in the TUSA Solla and want to make sure they will fit my needs. I will be using them primarily to dive in southern California (water temp ~60 F) with a 7mm wetsuits and ~20 lbs in weight. With the heavy setup will these provide enough power, or can you recommend another set of fins that would suit my needs better in the $60-$120 price range?
SF-22 - TUSA Solal Adjustable Strap Dive Fins
The SF-22 Solla combines TUSA’s rich history of performance fin design with the latest advanced materials and hydrodynamic innovations. A completely new design, the Solla has several unique features that deliver superior propulsion, speed and maneuverability.
The SF-22 is powered by ForcElast technology which offers unparalleled performance and efficiency previously unseen in a traditional blade fin. In addition to ForcElast technology, the Solla features TUSA’s patented 20° Angled Blade Design (A.B.D.), an optimized three channel crescent shaped blade with reinforced side-rails and vents, a multi-compound anatomic foot pocket and TUSA’s Anatomic Fin Strap (A.F.S.) and EZ buckle system.

A proprietary thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound precisely positioned in an advanced blade and foot pocket structure. FoceElast delivers superior propulsion, efficiency and speed even with moderate power input. ForcElast technology is found in TUSA high performance fins like the SF-22 and FF-23.
TUSA open-heel fins are equipped with a newly designed Anatomic Fin Strap (AFS). The AFS is anatomically shaped to offer a balance of flexibility and control to increase comfort, power transfer and to significantly reduce heel slippage found in many standard flat fin straps.
Angled Blade Design (A.B.D.)
A standard flat fin inhibits propulsion solely by fault of design. An angle between the heel of the foot and the calf of the leg remains when the leg is extended to kick. This angle causes approximately 10% of the propulsion to be lost. The Angled Blade Design accommodates for this anatomical characteristic and ensures maximum efficiency throughout the kicking cycle.
EZ Strap and Buckle System
TUSA's EZ strap and Buckle System allows fins to be quickly and easily adjusted with minimal effort. Adjustment can be made while the fins are worn, allowing for a precise fit and ease of removal when necessary.
