I bought these for my wife to go SCUBA diving knowing there for snorkeling. She is only giving them a 4 star rating, not because it was our mistake (as reviewers often do grrr)She said that they were hard to us at the surface, but that could be because she is use to a scuba fin, which is bigger. The fin pocket for your foot is to small for the use of a boot,so not the most comfy fin. That said, most of our problem was in a different use for the fins, they would be great for snorkeling Im sure

Rating: Straps break very quickly

I have had 2 pairs of these fins for my daughter (age 10), for snorkeling. Both suffered broken straps the first time they were used in the water. I would not buy this fins.

Why are boots required ?

The foot pocket is designed for use with boots. This allows for use in colder climates. If you don''t wear boots, the strap and foot pocket will tear up your feet when you use them.
