Just bought these fins for a vacation in Hawaii. We dove every day for 2 weeks and they were like power steering for my feet. Truly effortless and smooth on each stroke of my legs and feet. In some strong currents and this is where these fins really made a difference. Wow I like this product.

Rating: Excellent fin at an amazing price!

When my wife lost one of these fins on a recent dive trip she was upset. Shortly after we were pleasantly surprised when we saw them being sold for a great price on scuba.com. I had bought a cheapo set of fins but the v-16s had already spoiled her so much that I had to buy her another set. As a DM I believe that these fins are one of the best available and a good value with all the features that come standard. I also have a pair in my aresenal of fins. Split fins work! Springs straps are awesome!

Rating: Overall a good pair of fins.
Reviewer: Yao Ying T.,
im not sure how they had tested the fins, but i get great air consumption while using these. the only drawback is that the spring buckles seemed loose while kicking it would not be my first choice to use with these fins as cornering and turning is a bit stiff.

Rating: Simply Amazing
Reviewer: Christopher G.,
These fins are simply amazing. The fins were surprisingly on the heavy side outside of the water but once you start diving with them they feel almost weightless. These fins require the absolute least amount of effort to propel you either underwater or at the surface. The only downside to these fins are the spring straps, now it just may be my feet, but these straps are on the loose side with no way of adjusting them, i simply order the rubber replacement straps and now the fins are perfect

Questions and Answers for Oceanic Vortex V-16 Fins with Spring Straps:
Dawn:
i am considering the oceanic vortex 16 and the tusa z3 xpert zoom....i wear a womens size 6 1/2. what factors should i consider in my ion. please advise.

Hello Dawn,
Thank you for your inquiry.
The first thing you need to consider is the weight of the fins.
The Oceanic Vortex V-16 Dive Fins with Spring Straps are an excellent fin but are manufactured with heavier mix of rubber and silicone materials.
The TUSA Z3 X-Pert Zoom Adjustable Strap Dive Fins are comprise of a new age elastic (silicone and a rubber compound) material, making the fin lighter in weight but does not decrease performance.
I recommend the TUSA Z3 to my female students because of the less weight, the size range and deeper, more comfortable open end foot pocket.
Please make it a point to order the Mens 4-6/Womens 5-7 size if ordering the TUSA Z3 Expert Zoom Split Fins.

Daniel:
Hi, im 11 Size in the USA, what size should I choose on the fins? (im small on the V-12)
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
You would wear the XL size fin. In the V-12 you'd also still be the XL size fin.
Chris:
How much do these fins weigh?
When wearing while diving, are they neutrally or negatively buoyant ?
Thank you
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Shipping weight is around 5-lbs. They are slightly negative in the water.
Chris:
I was actually hoping to get the weight per fin, do you have that info ? Thanks
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
You would need to contact he manufacturer for those specs. But it will be close to the shipping weight.
