This is a nice fine. Been a while since wearing fins but from what I remember from a solid compared to this split fin is it is much easier and less effort with this fin. A little heavy but for the cost it was a great purchase.

Great fins, fantastic through the water with power when I need it, and smooth gliding consistently though the water all the time. Easy to put on and take off with spring straps, although I opted for purchasing the actual TUSA spring straps rather than use the free ones that came with the fins because of the TUSAs higher quality and ease of use. Highly recommend the fins!

Rating: TUSA Z3 X-Pert Zoom Adjustable Strap Dive Fins:
Reviewer: D. Jonathan Blake,
Quite a change from the Mares X-treme fins I had just purchased. TheX-treme fins felt like real ankle breakers compared to my old Scuba Pro Sea wings. These TUSA split fins require a lot more leg speed to produce forward motion but theyre easy on the joints (especially for an older diver). In Retrospect I would have bought a new pair of Sea Wings. They were a perfect compromise of speed with minimum effort. The TUSA split fins are a good value for the money and easy on the joints. But I think if you need power in a 2-3 knot current you need a stiffer fin.

These are the best fins I ever bought. I had a pair for over 8 years and they they are finally wearing out. My wife is a divemaster (retail agent) and she has me try all these new fins that come out. I tried most of them but nothing is better than these fins Tusa Fins. Just not the best in strong current

I purchased these for my fiance. They are much faster fins then the ones she previously used. The do require much more leg strength as they are a stiff fin. The spring straps are a nice addition to any fin and the fact that they are included is just another +

im not an expert by any stretch, but i love my tusas. i got a set of the z3s when i first got certified. after about 25 dives in a variety of climes and places, they got misplaced somewhere during a move (im still searching). i didnt hesitate to buy another pair. theyre fantastic, easy on and off at the back of the boat or in the surf, and are wonderful in every environment in which ive used them.

Rating: Great Fins - As Advertised and More
Reviewer: Van J., - View all my reviews
Ive been diving for 10+ years, and Ive always consumed a lot of air, nearly always ending a dive with less than 500 - 300 lbs and on occasion having to borrow air from my wife. Ive also frequently experienced leg cramps on the second of two-tank dives. Ive considered purchasing split fins for some time, as they are advertised to reduce air consumption by as much as 20% and to reduce leg cramps. I purchased my Z3 X-Pert Zoom fins last month before my wife and I went diving in St. Lucia, and I absolutely love the fins. My air consumption has been reduced by close to 40% - 50%, as I never ended a dive with less than 1200 lbs. Also, over 4 straight days of two-tank dives, I never experienced any leg cramps. I should have bought these fins years ago. Its great to not have to worry about my air consumption - makes the dive much more enjoyable.

After diving for 20+ years with my old fins, these are taking a little time to get used to. Kicking takes alot less effort, but Im not sure if Ive compromised speed. Basically, Im still not sure how confident I am with these fins. Maybe in another 10-12 dives Ill be able to give a better response.

The level of effort required for this fin is so much lower than my previous fins it is almost like I am not wearing fins at all.

Very pleased with these fins. They are comfortable and work well not sure what else you would need in a fin.

Nancy:
What size TUSA fin should I purchase in the SP 15 Xpert Zoom Z3 model?
I have a 7.5 M foot. Should I purchase the small or medium size? I dive in Florida with a EVO 5mm bootie, size 6.
My TUSA liberator 10 is a small.
Thank you,

William:
I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe. What size fin should I order and what size spring strap? Should I order a little big or a little small?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
That size shoe falls right on a sizing cut. The smaller size is designed to fit all the way down to a size 7 shoe, so it will be very snug. In this case I'd ue the LARGE size fin to give a comfortable fit, but would select the Medium size spring strap.
Lyn:
I would like a recommendation for a boot with this fin. I wear a 7.5 ladies shoe size, have a high arch, am planning to use mostly in warm water and would like a sturdy enough sole for some rocky surfaces. Thanks
My dad wears a 10 1/2 shoe, and I see you recommended getting the 11-13 size for this fin. Would you still recommend that sizing if I am getting him a size 9 in the Mares 5mm dive boot?
I also noticed you recommended a medium spring strap for the large fin, but the spring strap is automatically added and I cant change the size. Is there a place to write a message when I place the order?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The 11-13 will be too large for either a 10-1/2 or size 9 boot. Spring strap need to be snug because there is no adjustment to tighten them. You can put notes in the special instructions on order.
john:
I wear a size 10 bootie I believe is 3 mils thick. What sized fin should I order?
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello John, since you are a size 10 you are going to want to order the size 7-10.
Antonia:
hello
i have arthritis in my right ankle and am a new diver wondering if this is the fin for me. what do you think? i wear a womens 10 shoe should i order the mens 7-10 in the tusa if i decide to purchase? these fins look like they might be the right choice for a beginner...what do you advise? thanks!
toni
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Antonia, yes splits fins would be a better choice then a paddle fin. Splits give you better performance and less effort.
Chris:
Are these fins specifically the SF-15 Expert Zoom Z3 ?
How much do they weigh?
Thank you.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Yes these are the SF-15 Z3 fins. Shipping weight is around 5.5-lbs.
Chris:
With regard to weight, I was hoping to get the weight per fin, not the shipping weight. Do you have that information? Thanks
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
You would need to contact he manufacturer for those specs. But it will be close to the shipping weight.
