Hi, is this the latest model for the hybrid? The image here looks a little different from the one on the mares website

What integrated Octo/inflator can I use on the Mares Hybrid BCD? I have a Gemini, on my old BCD will it work?
Unfortunately Mares likes to make sure their products are used with their products. They aren''''t known for playing nice with others when it comes to adding items to their equipment. The only alternate air/inflator that works easily and properly with their bcds is their own Alt Air Control Integrated Octo.
Hi im looking for bcd for my self. Currently i used to jacket style bcd. May i know which is the best between this bcd compare to mares hybrid protec. I was concern if i buy mares hybrid protec with it back inflation might cause me uncomfortable over this bcd. So i would like to know which is better between this bcd and mares hybrid protec
Hello Amar, I prefer a back style BCD over a jacket style. With a back style the bladder will contour around the tank better and make you more streamline underwater which in turn give you better air consumption around 20% to 40%. Some going with the hybrid version will give the best of both worlds.
• Foldable backpack
• Ultra low profile exhaust valves
• Unprecedented fit and trim
Hybrid represents the apex of Mares BCD product development. Thanks to features such as complete uncoupling of harness and aircell, seamless shoulder straps and special padding around the wings of the back pack, we have reached unparalleled maximization of comfort, fit, stability and lift. Soft yet durable materials and overall light weight. Trim weight pouches integrated in the back pack and the MRS plus weight integration system. Adding exclusive styling and special cut it’s perfect for female anatomy as well.
