How do I buy weights for the Sherwood Avid BCD with integrated weights?
Dear Dan, Your weights go into your BC integrated weight pockets. Below is a link to weights you can buy. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-154/046022/XS-Scuba-Lead-Shot-Weight.html
I am a new diver. A dozen or so dives. I am a big guy. 511 270 54 chest, 40 waist. What size BCD XXL or XL. That being said, I am more interested in buying something that is the best rather than how much it costs. 006272 Sherwood Avid CQR3 BCD 2XLarge ? What would you recommend? Thank You
Hi there, I was about to buy this BCD yesterday at $260, ive come back today and the price is now at $499. Is there a reason for this? If you could let me know if its possible to do the previous price again as soon as possible as im looking at putting in a big order now that includes this BCD. Regards, Adam

The price is 499.00. If I order a 4XL does it go up in price? Also if I order today can I get it by Thursday?
Hello Don, yes the price would go up by $30. Also if you ordered it today yes we can have it on your door by Thursday. You would have to do express 3-day shipping and that would put it on your door either Wednesday or Thursday. It depends on when you place your order today. Also we do have 2-day, Next day, Next day AM, and Next day Saturday if you need it quicker. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

Im am a big guy looking to buy my first BC. Im 64, 300 lbs, 54" Chest, 46" waist. The 3X-5X size seams like my only choice, but the waist on the size chart says 52"-64"?? I could order the 2X but I always run into problems with things fitting my shoulders and chest. Any suggestions on the size, or other BCs that might be a better fit??
i want to take a scuba diving course at my university, i was wondering what size would be great for me im 510 220lbs ive never used any like this so idk if the LG or xLG will fit better
Why does the website still list the CDR3 as having the "handy little pocket" on the right foe a SMB or as I used to put in it my defog. I had the CDR2 and now the have the "3" and its the thing I miss the most although the redesign of the main weight pockets is fantastic and worth it. I lost weight and needed a new BC. Dont really want this posted, just noticed that after my new BC arrived and I was surprised by the omission on the new design, guess with a huge website little things are easy to overlook especially when they make no design sense.
i purchased 3XL BCD in may 2013 love it but this summer i broke one of the zipper tabs on the weigtht puoches and am wondering if i can buy a replacement pouch and how much as the weight puches for my bc are 13lbs per side
Hi there! Im a female who is 178cm in height and fairly athletic, but I wasnt sure whether to go with a XS or S. Ive been using an Aqualung for rent and Ive been using a S. Any thoughts?
The most important measurement will always be your waist measurement first. The bcd has to fit your torso properly in order to remain secure and comfortable through the dive. Height is about the last consideration unless you are out of the normal ranges for height/size (such as a tall thin basketball player), as the bcd is very adjustable.
I have a 13-year old Mares BC which isnt weight integrated any more since I lost the front pouches long ago and never found functional replacements. Also, I want to move away from back inflation since it isnt stable on the surface. I like the look and features of this model and the comments sound very positive. What size would you recommend? I am 6 0" tall, waist 38-40, weight 220. Thanks.
How much does this BC weigh? Is it a good selection for travel diving, which is all I do since Pennsylvania diving is not so desirable? Are there any other BCs you recommend besides this model for a pure recreational diver? I like the price, features and reviews. Thanks, Tom
Question Im 61 260 what size BCDis best what makes up the difference from xl to xxl is it the waist belt or is bcd bigger in general?
hi, Thanks for quick reply for sizing question.but if I follow the manufactur sizing chart.I am 58 tall and only 115 lbs and 29" waist.I am very slim.As your answer before,i should go for medium size.is that too big for me?cause i only fit one requirement of medium size. Thanks for answer me again.
When purchasing a new bcd you always go by the Waist measurement first and most importantly. In this case, based on your info I''d recommend a size Small.
Does this model come with a crotch strap? If not is that something that is an add on? What is the difference between this years model and last years?
What is yalls return policy? Im a big guy, and if I buy one and doesnt fit properly or for one reason or another.
Hello, we have an excellent return policy. Here is the link below. http://www.scuba.com/ads/shipping.aspx#return

Safe use of BC’s with integrated weights requires a complete understanding of their operation and limitations. Consult the BC operating manual and your diving instructor to be certain you understand how to weight yourself properly and what to do in an emergency. Failure to understand and act appropriately could result in serious injury or death.
