The lionfish is only partial made out of wood, it is mainly pasted with plaster like material, carving is then done to the plaster layer which can be broken easily. Handling with care is more demanding as a result.

I purchased the carved fish as Secret Santa presetn for some one in my dive group. She loved the colors and the quality of the carving. A great gift for a moderate price.
