Can you use the OCi in metric ie not just a conversion, but stops etc in whole rounded Numbers? Eg safety stop at 5m rather than 4.57m for 15 ft. Does the OCi display mins and seconds for stop times? Lastly, can you change gases during a dive Thanks. Like others I am trying to decide vs D6i
i got the the geo 2.0 i want to to one with a transmitter. what would yall reckmind i cant spell it to get. i use my geo as a watch two. i like the oci cause of the compass can u wear as a everyday watch as well
I am looking for input on a new computer. I have it narrowed down to the Oceanic OCI and Suunto D6i and would like some input on which computer to purchase. What are the primary differences between the two from a functionality standpoint? From what I have seen it appears as though the OCi may offer the best bang for the buck. Please advise.
Oceanic has a promotion for Oci with free cable and trasmitter, when buying one Oci in a dealer. This product OCi in your site is elligible for that promotion ? Tks ! Nice site !
Is the digital compass on this computer "full tilt" or "tilt compensated" ? Is one type considered better than the other?
Ive been looking towards going to air integrated and have been looking at new computers. Ive been looking at the Vyper Air, Oceanic OCi, and Oceanic Atom 3.1... Just as an personal opinion which would be your preference? Ive been leaning towards the Oci and now more so since its on sale. Thanks
hello, will the oci link to a mares transmitter? many thanks
Hello Shane, no they will not read each other. The transmitter you are looking for is the: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-67/008043/Oceanic-Hoseless-Transmitter-Only.html.
From people who have diving with air integrated for a while, how reliable is it? Im having a hard time thinking about leaving the typical hose spg set up just because its pretty much fool proof and always reliable.
I have an aeris epic / w wireless transmitter I want to upgrade to the oci can I monitor any transmitter or dose it have to be an oceanic transmitter.
Can the OCi and Atom 3.1 share a transmitter? I always wear a backup computer and would like to use the Atom 3.1 as the backup without using two transmitters.
What type of battery does this computer take and can I change it myself or do I need to take to a dive shop/ send to Oceanic to change? Thank you.
1. Does this computer still work if you are not using a wireless transmitter-Like on holiday and renting a regulator or using s aspare reg setup? 2. If I buy now does it still come with the wireless transmitter included? Thank you
Hello Joel, for the $794.95 price it would not include the transmitter. The transmitter is an added cost of $284.95. Yes you would still be able to use this as a dive computer but without the transmitter you would not know how much air pressure you have left in the tank so you would need some type of analog gauge to tell you that.
The "i" stands for Incredible.
Introducing the OCi. For the diver that wants it all. We mean that literally. The OCi represents the next step forward in recreational wireless air-integrated dive computers from Oceanic. We’ve combined the technology of our advanced OC1, the styling of our best selling OCS and some new features into one incredibly capable dive computer. Not only is the OCi powered by our ground breaking Dual Algorithm technology but it can handle up to 4 gases, calculate nitrogen during a freedive (in the new tech free mode), enable you to select between salt or fresh water and it even automatically adjusts your altitude. The customizable alarms and digital compass are just icing on the cake. Oh and let’s not forget that it functions pretty well as a watch too. Feature for feature the OCi has no competition.
Available in 5 distinct colors: Black/Red, Black/Yellow, Black/Titanium, Black/Blue and White.
