I would like to know the main differences between vyper and zoop from suunto. Tks
The Suunto Zoop is an ideal choice for sport divers looking for an easy-to-use computer at an affordable price. It can be used with both air and nitrox. The Vyper features full decompression capabilities and combines several technological innovations into one product. Three instruments in one: Air, Nitrox and Gauge. Vyper offers everything a diver could possibly need for diving with standard Air or Nitrox mixes. It can also be used as a depth gauge and timer with profile memory, making it ideal for professional and technical diving applications.
I had a Vytec ds with transmitter. The comptuer died , my question is does this vyper come with a transmitter or can the transmitter I have work with the Vyper? Thanks :)
Hello Kathy, yes it would work. When you are ready to switch the transmitter you will have to clear the code on the computer and then the transmitter should link up to the computer. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
Can I use the suunto vyper as a normal weekend watch or is it too large for a wrist watch?
Suunto Vyper is a little on the big side to wear as an everyday watch. I would look at the D4I or D6I http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-17/009425/Suunto-D4i-Air---Nitrox-Hoseless-Wrist-Dive-Computer.html http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-17/009418/Suunto-D6i-Air---Nitrox-Hoseless-Dive-Computer-with-Digital-Compass.html
The Suunto site says that the USB cable is included with the viper, but it is listed as an optional extra here. Is the USB cable included with the Viper?
Hello Greg, going by there site it is a up-graded item. This is directly from directly from there web site: http://www.suunto.com/us/en/products/diving-instruments/suunto-vyper-air/suunto-vyper-air-black.
