Average Customer Review: based on 3 reviews.Rating: Suunto Vyper Air Wrist Computer
Purchased this computer and transmitter from you one or 1 1/2 yrs ago. It will not pair. Opened it up and discovered salt water got into it. We have replaced the battery. Is it under warranty and/ or can we rinse in fresh water, dry it, and try new battery?
For technical level information such as this its always a good idea to contact the technical staff at the manufacturers themselves. Usually (but not always) once salt water has penetrated a dive computer its pretty much done for. Unless a manufacturing defect is found, its normally not going to be covered under warranty. Their warranty info can be found at: http://www.suunto.com/en-US/Support/
Hello - does this model come with a cable to attached to a PC to download dive data? Or, is that a separate purchase? Thank you!
How reliable is the wireless air integration on the Vyper 2 vs the non wireless air integration on the Cobra 3. Also, can another (backup) pressure gauge be connected in addition to the Cobra 3?
I have heard some negative comments about Suuntos response to problems. How is it handled when I purchase through you? Do we send products to you or Suunto directly?
Sorry to insist, but you answered "should". i want to know for sure if the price advertised includes or not the PC data cable. it is very important because this seems to be an old model, or at least no on the Suunto product line, and i am afraid not not find the cable after the purchase. Could you please answer if the advertised product - Vyper air with Transmitter - also includes the Download Data Cable?
1. Whats the difference between this computer and regular Suunto Vyper Wrist Computer ? 2. What is Hoseless stands for ?
Hello Simon, the Vyper is a stand alone computer. You would need a analog pressure gauge. When in the wireless version you have a built-in digital 3D compass plus with the transmitter you can also tell how much pressure you have left in your tank. Wireless replaces the high pressure hose so you have one less hose on your gear more streamline.
what is a great bargain for a wrist dive computer under $500. I dive 2xs a year and want to use it for a watch when not diving.
The depth function on my Suunto Vytec dive computer, purchased in 2006, has failed. Out of warranty, unfortunately. Apparently, the Suunto Vyper is the newer version. My question: Will the newer Suunto Vyper work with the same transmitter that was compatible with the Suunto Vytec? Thanks for a timely response.
I have a Suunto console. Will I be able to place this inside my console. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question. Very Respectfully, Brandon
How is it compared to Oceanic V4T? Can this watch also reads my daughters air? Does the transmitter stay in the BC pocket? I have an oceanic console computer and was thinking of getting a backup.
Hello, these are very similar computers. The main difference is that the oceanic allows you to chose the type of dive table to use(aggressive or conservative). The suunto is set as a conservative dive table Which would be what you would want your daughter diving on. The transmitter stays on you 1st stage and the computer can be mounted wherever you want.
What are the main differences between the vyper and the D4i? Do these computers always include the transmitter or is that a limited time offer? Do you ship to Canada? Thanks for answering!
