Surface interval time and/or countdown is a basic function of all dive computers. If they do not readily disply it, they incorporate it into your updated remaining bottom time surface calculations. This watch is backlight with the push of a button.

The product description notes a battery that is rechargeable through a USB port. Is that the transmitter, the computer, or both? How long will a charge last?

After much research it turns out the battery is not rechargeable at all in either the watch or the transmitter. The USB port is only used for downloading your dives with the download software.

Most important will be how often and what conditions you plan to use it in. All computers will give you the information you need out of a computer, so all will work. It boils down to the extra bells and whistles you desire to make your diving more convenient. We do not offer teh D6i without a transmitter.

Hello Kanratana, no the D4i, D6i, and the D9tx are not user changeable batteries. You would have to send this back to the manufacture for a battery replacement. The transmitter you can change the batteries on but not the computers itself.

The D6i pictured is the all black model which comes with a sapphire crystal. The base D6i with a black strap is silver in color and comes with a plastic crystal unless Im mistaken. Im looking for the all black model and will buy if it has the all black case as pictured.
