Does the Mares Icon computer have user replaceable batteries?

Per Mares User Manual: The ICON HD uses a rechargeable battery, so it may be necessary to replace it after approximately 500 charging cycles. The battery should only be replaced in a center authorized by Mares. Mares declines all responsibility for any damage caused by replacing the battery. In the case you would need a replacement you can send it to any authorized dealer so it can be sent back to Mares for repair.

Whats the function of computer transmitter? Is this using to download the map and install in the diving computer or using to upgrade the dive computers firmware?

Transmitter installs in the high pressure port of the regulator to transmit tank pressure to the wrist unit.

Am i right that the price of the hoseless computers does not include the transmitter to make these computers functional? Is that what the upgrade is for?

Hello Morris, if you would want the computer to tell you how much air you have left then yes you need the wireless transmitter. If you do not need the computer to do that you can buy it as a stand alone computer. That will do everything in your dive but tell you how much air you have left in your tank.

If you choose to operate the Mares HD Icon without pairing the device (i.e. Montoring Air), can you hide the Air information from the display.
