Questions and Answers for ScubaPro Aladin Sport Wrist Computer:

  • Brittney:

Hi! Im looking for a computer as a new diver and wanted to see if this would tell me what my surface interval would be?

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

The computer tracks your time, depth and surface interval. At the surface you will have a screen to scroll to depths with No-Deco times (the max time you can stay at that depth). This will help plan for the next dive time.

  • Carlos:

Will this computer show me decompression time?

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

All recreational dive computers will give you "no decompression time" which is the time you have at the current depth, and still be able to ascend without a deco stop.

  • Trevor:

How does the algorithm calculations compare to Aeries, as I dive with someone who has an Aeries?

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

The SubGear computer will be more conservative than the Aeris.

  • David:

What is the difference between a CH and a DE interface with the XP-10 subgear dive computer? If there is a difference which would you recommend for a recreational diver? Is this a reputable dive computer?

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello David, not sure what you are talking about with the CH or DE interface. The only interface you can use to download this computer is the ScubaPro Uwatec USB Smart Infrared Download Kit web link:

  • Wayne:

This look very similar to the Scubapro UWATEC Aladin Prime 2 dive computer. Did SubGear purchase the UWATEC computer products.

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Wayne, SubGear is a sister company of ScubaPro so it is the same computer as the Aladin Prime 2 just with the SubGear name on it.

  • Pete:

Do I need to purchase an IR interface for this computer. When I downloaded "Dive.Log" a black window pops up when I click on the icon "Open Dive Computer Settings", is this an IR target? If I need an interface will a Scubapro interface be compatible?

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Pete, here is the link: for the download kit you will need for the computer you have.

  • Tread:

Does this computer come with the IR software and the USB cord or would I have to get that separately?

    Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

    that comes separately.

Divers are different, with a variety of tastes, priorities and skill levels. Some want their dive computers fully loaded, while others prefer more simple systems that focus only on the functions they actually use.
The new ALADIN SPORT caters to this latter group. It is a single gas dive computer with SCUBAPRO's time-proven ZHL-8 ADT MB algorithm, full watch functions, an effective back light, visual and audible alarms, and a three-color nitrogen loading bar graph that makes it easy to track tissue loading.
A variable ascent monitor lets you control your speed back to the surface, and a timer can be set from one to five minutes to customize safety stops. The logbook stores 25 hours of dive time that can be downloaded via an infrared interface.
Offering just the right balance of features, functions and price makes the ALADIN SPORT an appealing choice for entry-level divers as well as veteran divers on a budget. It is also an affordable choice for freedivers and technical divers, and an excellent backup computer for all divers.
