Is this interoperable with the Aeris Elite T3, ie can they monitor each others transmitter/air level?
Can the owner replace the batteries without problems? Is the free shipping also free for posting to The Netherlands? regards Nico
If I purchase it without the transmitter, is that something I can easily acquire later if I decide I want it?
Hello Lucily, yes you can. If you go to Oceanic Atom/VT Dive Transmitter Only web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-67/008043/Oceanic-Atom-VT-Dive-Transmitter-Only.html. Then all you would have to do add the serial number into the computer and it will start to keep track of your air pressure. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
Can you recommend a dive watch computer with compass that downloads to a Mac? Im looking in the $400-$800 range. It must be easy to use and read. Ive only been diving for two years, with 15 dives logged, all in the Florida Keys. Im diving in Zanzibar this summer!
Hello Laura, in that price range the computer I would suggest for you is the Mares Nemo Matrix Air / Nitrox Wrist Computer Dive Watch web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-17/009384/Mares-Nemo-Matrix-Air---Nitrox-Wrist-Computer-Dive-Watch.html. This is a MAC friendly computer. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
I know that the best use of the computer is with a transmitter, but I would like to ask you if will work the computer without a transmitter?? Thank you.
Hello Hernan, Thank you for your inquiry! The Oceanic VT4 Air / Nitrox Hoseless Wrist Dive Computer with Digital Compass can be used without the transmitter. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-17/009278/Oceanic-VT4-Air---Nitrox-Hoseless-Wrist-Dive-Computer-with-Digital-Compass.html If you wish to purchase the transmitter at a later date, then you will need to buy an analog Submersible Pressure Gauge. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-51/017054/Oceanic-Pressure-Gauge..html If you would like to place an order, please contact one of our certified Dive Instructors at SCUBA.com by calling 800-247-2822 <> 949-221-9300 or e-mail us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
How many dive logs (built-in memory) has the computer?? Is it included the required equipment to load the data into the computer or is it necesary to buy another accessory?

Now the download software is free from Oceanic’s web site. Some other web pages includes a FREE Digital online class in order to learn how to operate the computer. I would like to buy it to you so but Im wondering if is the online class included here too?? Thank you.
I assume there is a difference between the VT4 and VT4.1 (not available at scuba.com). What is the difference between the two and can the VT4 be upgraded? Thanks!
Hello Louay, the VT 4.1 has not been released yet. Once it is we will carry this computer. The difference between the two at this time is the VT 4.1 will not do buddy checks. If you would like to pre-order it or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
Does this $729 price include the computer and transmitter? Mary
Hello Mary, if you need this unit with the transmitter you are looking at an upgraded cost of $370. Your total price for the unit with transmitter would be $1,099.95. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
whie taking the online class i noticed that when entering the dive preview on my vt4 menu, pressing it apears gas mix as nor, below fo2-1 air and just below it should say depth al. (it appears as [ epth almar) it doesnt complete de d is that a failure on the computer that i should consider to send it back to exchange in order to prevent any other problems of displaying info correctly or not to be able to see later more information that could cause an accident ? or that is just the way it is everything else looks like its ok and working.
Hello Eugenio, if you need to get your computer serviced you will need to send that computer back directly to the manufacture. If you go to: http://www.scuba.com/resources/repair/oceanic.asp that will take you to all the information on shipping your computer to the manufacture. If you have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
I lost my previous Oceanic Atom (version 1 maybe?) but I still have the transmitter. Can I buy this computer and use it with my existing transmitter?
Hello Maxwell, yes you can. you would just need to enter the serial number of the transmitter into the computer and you will be all set. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
Hi Scuba The web page shows and says buy this and it shows the computer and a transmitter and then it show get this free showing picture of another second transmitter. Is that the offer buy the computer and trans for 729 and get another trans for free? Thats what your ad shows and says.
You're misreading the intent. The current special from Oceanic (it's a manufacturer driven special) is buy the computer w/transmitter package and get the transmitter for free. Not an additional transmitter. The wrist unit alone is and has been $729.95. The transmitter when not on special is an additional $419 when not on special.
I have an older oceanic dive computer (10 years old), will the VT4 fit into my old console if I do not purchase the transmitter at this time? Thank you
Does this computer work with more than one transmitter at a time? Can I monitor both my sons as well as my own tank with this computer? Nick
Do you sell replacement Gauge Guards for this computer?
Hi, how often do you have to change the batteries on the transmitter? I am diving an island in the pacific and will be on a boat for 10 days. I was debating on going with the traditional analog gauges and traditional watch in case of transmitter or battery failure. Any suggestions? Thanks, -F
When I put the Oceanic VT4.1 in the shopping cart it shows a price of over $1000, but on the item page it is $712 and is supposed to come with a free transmitter - how do I get this price.
Where is the place to buy a Transmitter for the VT4.1
Hello, may I ask anyone to confirm that the sampling rate can be set to 1s in freediving mode (not indicated in the manual), and if it is possible to manually set the water type to fresh water under 3000 feet (the manual says that water type is automatically set to fresh beyond 3000 feet but says nothing about how to set it to fresh water below 3000 feet). Thank you very much for your answer. Marc
Hello Marc, we are currently out-of-stock on this item so we can''t check the sample rate. You can however contact the manufacture directly 800-495-3483 hit option 2 for tech support and they can walk you step by step to test this or get you to the correct menu so you can set this yourself.
I have the Oceanic VT 4.1 and really like it. But after 3 years, the wrist strap is starting to crack and split. Ive been trying to find a replacement strap, but cant seem to find the correct one. Does anyone know where I can get the replacement strap? Or does it require replacing the entire boot? In which case, part # PLEASE. Thanks Skip
Unfortunately that is one of the only products that Oceanic doesn''t list a replacement part number for in their dealer information. There are replacement boot/straps listed for just about every other product they offer. We would recommend contacting them directly @ 800-435-3483
I have had problems with my VT3 computer on my last dive trip.....it has become unrelieable...It reads everything accurately during the dive, but somewhere between my safety stop and surfacing, the screen goes blank, and the dive cannot be retrieved in the log. I have changed the battery, and the same thing is happening after approximately 12 dives (3 days of diving). I am considering purchasing the VT4. Will my transmitter from my VT3 function with it? and still read my buddys air pressure as well? thanks, M.E.
