pro:great wrist computer, very easy to read and adjust.
the dual algorithm and conservative factor gives the diver flexibility to choose how conservative he wants to dive for example if your solo diving or diving in a new area maybe you want to be more conservative and choose Z+ algorithm whereas if your diving in the usual spot choose DSAT.
unfortunetly, i only found the dual algorithm in Oceanic computers!
cons: no tank pressure

Rating: Oceanic Veo 3.0
Reviewer: Scott Arquilla,
i decided to replace my (very) old orca skinny dipper mark ii, as i recently decided to take up diving after a decade long sabbitcal. while the instruction book was lengthy, it was easy to set up the veo 3.0. one of the great things about the skinny dipper was its easy to read display. i was intent of getting another with a good display as i am 58 years old. i was not disppointed in the least. even at 100 feet, the display was easy to read even without the backlight.
i just recently ordered the usb oceanlog v2 cable so i can download all of the dive information. id suggest every buyer do the same thing.
in a nutshell a great dive computer!

i need to verify that the veo 3.0 is a nitrox / air computer and that audible alarms will sound if i ascend too fast of near the limits of a ndc dive? also, if i should exceed depth limit for p02, will an alarm sound. i bought the veo 1.0 and it is lacking the backlight and audible alarms.

What is the ease of this computer? My wife has the 1.0 and it not easy to get to your service intervals or last dives. I have the veo 100 and it automatically goes into your service intervals and fly tim. how doers this one work? Do you have to hold buttons for a certian amount of time to get into these readings? such as your allowable bottom time.

:
Each computer has its own little intricacies in regards to remaining bottom time, dive time and the entire assortment of background information that is available. In general the 2 button computers are always going to be easier to access the back ground screen than a 1 button computer. They allow you to scroll between menus then select the category or information you choose.
Marc:
My wife and I are infrequent divers, probably 20 dives per year. Both of us have older computers that will not work with nitrox. We are looking for inexpensive basic dive computers that are easy to ready both during daylight and nightime diving. I currently dive with an inexpensive Aeris computer and she an older model Uwatec (big rectangular thing). Any recommendations?
