Rating: TUSA IQ-650 Element Air / Nitrox Computer Watch Review - $299.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews
Reviewer: John
This dive computer is extremely easy to use. Though it only has one button, it is simple to navigate through the different settings and menus. the best feature is the ability for the owner to replace the battery without having to send it in to the factory for replacement. The strap is extremely long, but Im sure there are benefits to this that I am currently unaware of. Overall i am pleased to have purchased this item.

I have used the dive computer for 6 dives now and think it is proving to be a pretty solid product. Though I am still learning the device, it has been pretty easy to use and read.

Questions and Answers for TUSA IQ-650 Element Air / Nitrox Computer Watch:

  • sheilagh:

Hello, is this watch Mac-compatible? Also what is the main difference between this and the IQ-900?

Greg  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

No neither the IQ=650 of the IQ-900 are mac compatible. The biggest difference between these dive computers is the IQ-900 can support 2 nitrox gas mixtures and allow the diver to switch between the mixtures during the dive.

  • sheilagh:

Sorry, my above question got all garbled. Thanks Greg, but Im getting conflicting info from diff. experts. See Darricks answer in this link (bottom part of Q&A) regarding the IQ-900 being Mac-compatible. Im confused as to which ones correct. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-17/009220/aeris-manta-air-nitrox-computer-dive-watch.html?question=3354#question3354

Greg  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The download kit does have a patch from TUSA that will work on Mac computers. You will need to download the software patch to make it work. The version out of the box will only work on Windows 98 and XP.

  • Giorgos:

hello can be worn as normal watch to output and how much is case diameter? thanks

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Giorgos, you are looking at 2.5" diameter face. This would be a very large face display to wear as a day to day watch also.

IQ-650 - TUSA Element Air

The Element is an easy-to-use, single button, puck-style computer offering a myriad of dive data details plus some new features including a Deep Stop function all in an affordable package. The Element is available in a wrist or console version.

Deep Stop Function
Several TUSA computers feature a deep stop function for additional safety. The deep stop mode is activated when a dive exceeds 80 FT (24M) for more than 1 second. Upon ascent, the computer will display a Deep Safety Stop screen and the recommended stop depth for a period of 2 minutes. This deep stop is highly recommended as additional opportunity to off-gas, but is not mandatory. If the diver chooses not to serve the stop it will not adversely affect the remaining No-Decompression Limits of the dive.
