My split fins worked great for a week in the Florida keys. My legs never cramped or tired. One of the clips broke on the 2nd day but didnt inhibit use. I notified the company of the broken clip and they immediately shipped me a new strap and two clips. Great customer service.

Rating: Easy on the knees and still good speed

nice quality at an excellent price - the Raptors fit the bill for me, a novice with wonky knees and a tendency towards leg cramps. Using the heavy, vented fins that are the defacto standard for dry suit diving meant that every dive had cramping incidents and real sore knees the next day. These split fins take the pressure off both muscles and tendons and while they do make frog kicks and moving backwards more challenging, I can still do either when I need to. And I still keep up with my buddy without struggling.
Am a bit worried that the small plastic parts in the strap release mechanism wont last very long but was pleasantly surprised by the fit and finish. Very little parachute effect - a surprise since the foot pocket seems very boxy and rigid until you get the boot in. And three day delivery to Canada! Usually I have to wait a week or more for stuff from the USA.

My only complaint about these fins is the weight. They are very heavy compared to other fins out of the water. Walking on a boat deck was no problem. The fit and performance was excellent, kick effort was pretty low and hard kicks give an impressive burst of speed.
Other than being a bit heavy, Id happily recommend these fins.

I am handicapped I had both of my knees replaced and I was not able to dive because of my knees , So a friend recommended that I give the Mars Split Fins A try so I bought them but I wasn’t expecting to be able to dive even with them .
I just returned from Guana Cay in the Bahamas where I tried them and much to my surprise I was able to dive again , I had very little pain in my knees and no cramping in my leg mussels at all , these Split fins are the best for me or anyone who has knee or leg problems …
The ease and speed of moving through the water was Great and without any fatigue
I am One Very Grateful - Happy - Satisfied Diver Again
If I could give them 10 stars I would and the price was Great also
I WOULD RECOMMEND THE MARS SPLIT FINS TO ALL … Jim

Cool fins, green is an awsome color, and works great, but they dont work with those spring loaded straps. I have the generic springs that go on fins and they will not fit on these and I dont want to spend another $50 on a special pair if it exists or is available.

although mares product line has consistantly be known for quality and performance The mares Raptor adjustable strap split dive fins will exceed your expectations. they will provide you with the thrust you desire while exerting the minimal amount of energy, that couple with the price makes the a worth while investment.

I was shocked at how well these fins performed. Even with a bad hip the fins went beyond my expectations! The ease of movement and the speed underwater was very noticable with less effort needed compared to my old Mares fins that were not split. I will never dive without them!

Mares has an excellent split fin design that is just downright amazing. The first time I tried mine on I was so excited to just get them in the water. Upon completion of my first dive with them, I was overwhelmed at how my legs did not have any kind of cramp after I was finished using them. I also noticed underwater that I was able to keep up with the rest of my buddies underwater who were not using a split fin design. Great fin and great looking as well! Im hooked!
