Hello, I was wondering if you need any kind of certification to do snuba charters.
It seems there would be any number of different things you'd need to look into, such as Coast Guard permits and Liability Insurance. As for use of the surface supplied air, a scuba certification should always be required as the user is still subject to all the conditions and limitations of scuba.
How much noice does this engine produce? what has beeen done to protect the air from beeing poluted by the engine exhaust? any risk of breathing in exhaust from the engine?
The units are about the same as any mower type engine with a muffler installed. The air inlet tube is located at a point that is higher and away from the exhaust. This allows the heavier exhaust gasses to be directed down and away from the inlet allowing only the lighter, clean air to be pulled into the compressor.
How is the on the regulator lever (dive/pre dive) positioned?
Hello Matt, the diver adj. air flow is a switch that you can divert the air flow. So if you do diving where a wave or doing a boat entry sometimes the hit on the water will make you r regulator free flow. This switch will divert that pressure so you will not have that happen again. Also it does not matter which way the switch is turned it will give you air if you breath into the regulator.
