We plan on doing some shore diving on Bonaire in Jan 2014. We havent done any shore diving before. We will be taking a shore diving course when we arrive. We have computers but dont have a compass. Would it be a good idea to have a compass? Thanks, Mark
Is this really a retractable compass? The picture does not look like it.
Hello Lee, no the compass does not retract. This is a clip compass, if you are looking for a compass that retracts then take a look at: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-15/131427/Innovative-Retractable-Compass.html.
These Gripper retractor compasses feature the exceptionally high quality SP0157 liquid filled, fast response compass and and housing. They are available attached to Locking Gripper or Gripper Junior retractors or on a simple mounting plate with BCD attachment clip. Features include side view window, luminescent floating dial for night diving, and ratcheting bezel.
