Works well when I need it. Lumination in darker conditions was acceptable. Wrist band was ample for larger wrists.

Questions and Answers for Oceanic SWIV Wrist Compass:

  • George:

Hello, I dive in cold water in Canada. Is this compass strap large enough to fit over a 7mm wet suit sleeve? I wear a mens size medium wet suit. Thanks, George

Clarke  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello George, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the band is long and can fit not only a wet suit sleeve, but a dry suit sleeve too! http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-15/016025/Oceanic-SWIV-Wrist-Compass.html If you have any questions or wish to place an order, please call us at 1-800-247-2822 or 949-221-9300.

  • Joe:

Can you also attach the compass to the clip mount assembly or is this fixed to the wrist assembly.

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The compass module is removeable and could be placed into the clip mount assembly as well.

  • Mimi:

Even with a 7mm suit, i still have a small wrist circumference. My naked wrist is just shy of 6 in circumference, would this wrist compass still fit comfortably without moving around? Thank you.

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

It would very possibly still be loose enough to shift around your wrist.

  • Alexander:

I am considering a purchase of a wrist compass and deciding between Suunto SK7 and Oceanic Swiv. Suunto is significantly more expensive than Oceanic. Is there a significant difference in the operation of the two compasses to justify the significantly different price? Thank you.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Alexander, between the two compasses I like the Oceanic version its more user friendly.

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    Hello, it would be $36.46.

  • jeff:

how hard is it to put this compass on bungies

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Unfortunately that''s not something that anybody here has attempted. We all use it as a normal wrist compass with the strap.

  • Bryan:

Hi, what is the thickness of this compass/ how "tall" is it?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Bryan, the compass height is 1 inch.
