I used this compass module in a wrist strap for navigation work and the compass works well. The 30deg tilt really helps to keep from worrying about leveling it out constantly. In addition, there arent large movements in the liquid so it is quick to point me in the right direction without waiting for the compass to settle.

Questions and Answers for Oceanic Supertilt SWIV Compass Module:

My son has as an Oceanic Veo 1.0 and would like a compass that attaches to or mounts on the back of the gauge cluster for Chrismas. I leaning toward the Oceanic Supertilt SWIV Dive Compass but am unsure if additional equipment would be required to mount this on the back of the gauge cluster.

It isn't terribly difficult. One screw dissassembles the console. It can be a bit tricky to get it together again as you are juggling several little pieces, but it isn't too hard over all.
