My son has as an Oceanic Veo 1.0 and would like a compass that attaches to or mounts on the back of the gauge cluster for Chrismas. I leaning toward the Oceanic Supertilt SWIV Dive Compass but am unsure if additional equipment would be required to mount this on the back of the gauge cluster.
Bob, You state that the Oceanic Supertilt SWIV Dive compass module mounts on the Veo 1.0 gauge module with a little disassembling and reassembling. Is this something that my son and I can do or do we need professional assistance.
I currently have an Oceanic console that housed a pressure gauge and Veo 1 computer. I removed the Veo 1 and installed it in a wrist band primarily for the ease of transporting it to dive locations where I intended to rent the gear. My question is will the Supertilt compass fit in the hole vacated by the Veo 1? Id like to mount the compass in the console and keep the Veo on my wrist.
