pros - i am very happy with the brownies kayak hooka kit. it attached easily to an existing first and 2nd stage i had on hand and works very well. i am using a 60 foot hose version for in-water bottom maintenance on my 30 foot dive boat, and as an emergency air supply for divers by ping the second stage over the rail of the boat to 15 feet. i havent used it on a kayak yet however, i have displayed it to several of my kayaking dive friends, and they were very impressed with the set up. cons - no plug/covers for the opened ends of the hooka hose when the hose is broken down for storage leaving a chance for dirt/moisture/bugs to invade between the first and second stage.

i was quite pleased with this hookah hose & connector system. i attached this to a top side tank and enjoyed the benefits of scuba without the burden of donning all the gear. its great when ping on an known site and not expecting to do extensive exploring (due to the tether length of the hose) or using it for drift diving. my only complaint is the connection system does not have a check valve. i attached a pressure guage on the 1st stage regulator so someone could monitor tank pressure, but you have to have the 2nd stage attached to check tank pressure to keep air from free flowing.

I didnt get what I needed here. I was under the impression that this would connect up to a regular regulator or my regular scuba outfit. I found out I was wrong via my local scuba shop. So right now I have a hose that does nothing and have to wait to get money for a low pressure regulator, because I still want to make up the system to dive without the tank on my back. I could have used much more of an explanation on what this was and what it needed.

All you need is your own regulator and your set to dive. It is a must for boat owners. Maximize your ability to clean the bottom of your yatch with ease or just cruise the bottom of a local shoal while your out for a day trip. Not sure why I dident get a Browines Kayak Hose Kit years ago. You will not be let down by this product(no pun intended).

Terrific invention. Very handy for cleaning the bottom of my boat without the bulk of the tank on my back. The quick release connections are an added bonus for ease getting on or off my kayak or my dock.

A great buy. So easy to hook up and go. Best way to do any bottom work or emergency underwater work in a hurry. I would suggest this product to anyone doing hull maintenance in the water.

This is the real deal. I got the 60 hose. It is very flexible and the quick-connect/disconnect system is really excellent. Highly recommended.
