We have a number of HP Steel 80s but there are times as an air hog I needed some extra time - these 120s fit the bill perfectly. They arrived, ready to be filled.

Questions and Answers for XS Scuba 120 Cubic Foot High Pressure Steel Tank:
Jim:
there appear to be 2 manufacturers of high pressure steel tanks, faber and worthington. Is there a difference between the two other than price. Faber tanks seem to run about $40 cheaper
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Jim, Faber paint there tanks white, while XS Scuba will dip them in a Chromemoly Steel to help with the strength-to-weight resilience. That is why the XS Scuba tank run a little more. Joe:
Are the tanks also given a fresh "hydostatic" test prior to shipping? Any guarantee that there is at least 4 to 5 years left before another hydrostatic test is needed?
Also, is "Nitrox Ready" mean "O2 cleaned" or is that something that needs to be done after purchasing the tanks?
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Joe, you are looking at around a few months after Hydrostatic testing. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
jody:
i was looking at buying a couple of the steel 120 tanks and the biggest issue i was worried about is this i plan to use the tanks for nitrox and the my LDS uses partial pressure blending so are these tanks o2 cleaned or will the i have to get them o2 cleaned prior to use or is that the dive shops call.
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Jody, Yes these tanks are rated to 40% Nitrox Ready. But since we do not Nitrox inspect them. Your LDS might need to inspect them and they would put on your Nitrox sticker.
