This mini retractor is a good little retractor. I used it to keep my backup (princeton tec surge) light in controll during night dives and to keep my canon powershot with the wpd60 housing in check and in my grasp at a moments notice during the day. And another mini retractor full time as my console keeper. Above water all items sagged about 6 inches but as soon as i was in the water the little guys kept everything tight and streamelined. Good and compact and tough, with a plenty long enough extention for me. Good choice, highly recomended. Dan

Rating: Weak spring

I like the quick connect clip, but the spring is too weak. My consol hangs about six inches from the retractor. This is not an issue while diving, because the consols buoyancy allows the to retract all of the way, so that it doesnt drag on the coral. I would still prefer to have the consol fully retracted all of the time.

Although I love the length of the cable and it works well with no hang-ups, the spring tension on this retractor is very light, not suitable for computers or guages. Use with signal devices or other light accessories is about its limit.

This clip is nice and small which makes it easy for small lights, which I use for this reason. The only downside to this clip is the small clip makes it a little difficult but manageable to put on your D ring.
