Rating: Love these little guys

They kept my stuff close yet easy to grab. I hooked a few on different gear including my camera, slate and light. They retract easily and are smooth. After diving in the ocean last week and not getting to gear right away, no rust.

Rating: Even better than expected.
Reviewer: Justin R.,
My retractor on my Suunto compass wore out from use, and did not want to replace the whole thing. I searched all over the internet and could not find a replacement. I called Scuba.com and they pulled one from the shelf and checked the manufacture, and it was the same as the Suunto. All I had to do was unscrew it from the compass and screw the new one on. (Just had to use my old screws). Thank you Scuba.com!!!

Rating: No problems.

My son got an Aeris BCD and needed a small retractor. Ive always used Akonas on my Sherwood BCDs. I found that the Aeris brand worked better on his Aeris BCD and returned this one for an Aeris retractor. This is no fault of the retractor and I have always had excellent service with my Akona retractors.

Rating: Love This Retractor
Reviewer: Tina B.,  - View all my reviews
This is the 2nd Akona retractor Ive had. The first one had smaller disconnect clips. This retractor has a decent sized disconnect clip which makes it easy to use. Not too light - not too heavy. I looked at numerous retractors but I liked the original retractor so I tried this one. I like it even better. My husbands retractor just broke and I have ordered another one to replace his. I would recommend this retractor.

Rating: Great Little Retractor
Reviewer: Phillip B.,
Based on a week of diving, I really like this retractor. I used it to attach a compass to my BC. The amount of spring force is good for me: powerful enough to bring the compass back, but low enough so that I can hold the compass out in front of me for an extended period. The length of the retractor cable is pretty good, although it would have been better if it extended a few inches more for my long arms (36" sleeve). I also like the retractor because it was one of the most, if not the most compact retractor available. Im considering buying another...

Rating: A little inconsistent - one good, one not strong enough
Reviewer: Anne E.,  - View all my reviews
We ordered a couple of these, and one of them gently and easily connects gauges to one BCD, with a handy clip design that allows it to snap into place easily. The other just wasnt as strong, and the same gauges dangle rather than being held tightly in place. It would be fine for a lighter object - I just wish both worked as well as the first one does.

Rating: Small but efficient

This retractor I used with my Spyderco Caspian Dive knife sheath. It keeps it out of the way until I need it. Excellent performance.

Nice small unit with enough cable tension to hold my SPG tucked in tight.

For lighter equipment, such as a compass, this is a good product at a good price.
