Hi, i was looking for a full face mask, and i have find some interest in the Neptune Space G and the Ocean Reef Neptune Space Full Face Scuba Dive Mask with Hookah 2nd Stage.. What is the big different on those two? And who should i go for? this is my fist full face mask, but i wantthe mask to be good as well.. regards Morgan :)
I have a older ocean reef Neptune with scuba second stage can I get a hookah second stage reg or tune my existing reg for my mask
so I dont know if this is really a question more than a suggestion. but you may be able to point me in the right direction.. this is a hookah only mask so it cannot be used with anything else.. now what happens in an out of air emergency? I have to doff the mask move to backup and breathe out a pony bottle or other?? this is not the greatest, as it eliminates the benefits of a ffm if im just going to have to remove it if my surface air cuts off. any thoughts? thanks in advance
Basically you are correct. In an out of air emergency you are going to switch to a back-up system separate from the ffm. In this case, the assumption is that you are ending your dive anyway, so the more important thing is a supply of air that allows you to safely ascend to the surface.
Does the Ocean Reef Full Face Mask allow enough space/room/ clearance, to wear prescription glasses?
Hello, ocean reef actually makes a frame that fits the mask. Here is the link below: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-124/028083/Ocean-Reef-Optical-Lense-Support.html
I am looking at the Ocean Reef in a hoohak set up but also dive scuba can I use one mask for both,, Ie. have two regulators and switch them out dependent on which air source I am diving at the time. or If attach a secondary air supply reg, how would i keep water from flowing in through a disconnected reg if i only wanted to dive with one of the air sources.
