The PADI Rescue Diver DVD is good as a tool to review what you read in the manual however it does not cover all the topics in adequate detail. I understand the material needs to be presented by an instructor however it would be much more beneficial to include more content on the DVD. Would I recommend it... Yes.

This DVD is very helpful while studying Stress and Rescue Diver course. It gives you more visual reinforcement which helps with confidence. I definitely recommend using the dvd with the course workbook.

An absolute requirement if you get the Rescue Diver pack. Its a shame that the pack doesnt already come with this DVD, so make sure you dont purchase the Rescue Diver pack thinking the DVD is included. The DVD provides some great actual examples of the various rescue scenarios. If you can get these into your head, having studied the RD pack materials, youll have no problem preparing for the exam and being an effective RD and accident site coordinator.
