Rating: good hook but flimsy cord
Reviewer: thomas wagner
just spent 11 days diving in a hook environment, and the hook worked fine, but by the end of the trip I was afraid the cord was going to break. A better cord, or an adjustable Velcro strap would take this from a 3 star to a 5 star review.

Rating: decent hardware, crappy rope
Reviewer: Toby C.
Its a stainless steel hook, and a brass swivel clip - not much to say there, except maybe a stainless steel clip would be nicer? The included rope/string on the other hand is rather stiff and seems cheap - more like plastic twine. I replaced it with some paracord, which you can coil up and stow a lot easier.

Nice hook that does not rust ( hope it stays that way). If you dive in currents this is a good nor to keep in you BCD pocket.

Rating: hook too big, string not easy to manage
Reviewer: David Herzog  -  View all my reviews
Bought this for my trip to Palau, but ended up using the ones provided by the dive shop (shark hooks with the point ground off). The hook is way too big and doesnt hook easily to small areas. Also the rope is nylon and doesnt roll up or "daisy chain" well. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the brass clip is top quality! I use it for other things now.

Rating: Trident Reef Hook
Reviewer: Elaine H.
Useful, but with room for improvement. This product has a single metal hook and a somewhat thin, easily tangled rope, which in turn, is meant to be clipped to your BC. It does work as intended, but could be more useful with a treble hook type grabbing mechanism and rope that would not be so easily tangled. I have used one issued by a dive operation that worked better.
