Easy to deploy, even in a stiff current. Takes some practice to get enough air in, but not too much, at depth. (Good practice for clearing the reg!). Easy to deflate and roll up for the next dive.

Rating: Safety Sausage for shore diving
Reviewer: Rick P.  -  View all my reviews
I purchased the safety and 160-foot finger spool for use while shore diving. I had seen a similar set up used by others and wanted to try it for myself. Able to connect the finger spool to my BCD, I found the spool easy to use. Since I hold the spool directly in front of my left hand, it is actually a helpful sort of direct finder as well. A few tugs on the line up to the safety sausage buoying on the surface brought the buoy sraight up and down. This helps alert others that there is a diver down nearby and gave me the comfort to help me focus on the beauty that is diving.
