it would be better if you did not have to store it in a bag, when you need to use it, you have to pull it out of the nylon bag. It would be better if it was just held together rolled up with velcro. But for the price, it is worth it, if you dont use it often.

Knowing how much I like my other XS products, I took a chance on this and glad I did. I found this to be lightweight, compact and easy to hook on my bc. Love the small pouch it comes in. It was quick and easy to deploy with my alt air and the color is highly visible. I had purchased another brand prior to this and hated it, big bulky and heavy. Very happy with my purchase!

Rating: Its a Safety Sausage

Not much to say here, its a safety sausage. I preferred this one because of its size and its ability to inflate easily although I have yet to use it in a stressful situation. My only complaint so far is there is no clip on the sausage itself so I need to keep it in the little pouch to clip to my BCD

Seems like it will due the job when needed. Havent had to use yet but will be useful when surfacing a distance from boat or in busing areas. Just another item divers should add to there BCD.

The construction was poor and quality control non-existant. The bladder leaked 100% around the entire sausage due to a cold plastic weld. Would leak as fast as you would add air.

having the safety sausage is in case of an emergency and thanks to our dive training, the dive masters on the boats for the excelent breifings we have not had to use our safety equipment. but it is nice to have it just in case

bought 2 of these before going to mexico for a week. one for me and one for my better half.
we practiced them on dry land and they are TALL and i would think visible even in somewhat choppy waves 3-5 high although we never had to use them.

I purchase two 8 safety sausages one for me and one for my wife in preparation for the scuba diving trip to the Gulf. In fact I had to deploy the sausage during one dive since I did not finish the dive at the boat and had to be picked up by the recovery boat. The sausage was deployed for visibility. The sausage was easy to inflate, however, it would not stand up once inflated, it would just lay on the water. I had to hold it in the middle while holding on to the morring line to get it to stand up. This would essencially cut the height of the sausage in half.
